Holiday advice sought

A combination of inset days and voting station closures means we have a 3 day mini school holiday coming up at the beginning of July where we can take the kids on holiay for 5 nights out of season. But we're stuck for really good ideas for family holidays that are close enough for a decent 5 night break (intercontinental trips are out). Any suggestions will be considered and discarded as useless, probably, knowing you bastids.
