Apart from long term absentees such as Luis Garcia and Harry Kewell, the only other new injury involves highly rated teenager Francis Duran, who must undergo cruciate knee surgery, keeping him out for six months.

It is a shame - but the most talented? I dunno - the new Swedish lad looks to be a bit special as well as Insua

Yeah I would agree with that, Duran looked really good in the game that he did play in and was a bit closer to the 1st team than the young swede. its reported Wenger wanted him so must be a little bit special, hopefully he'll make a fully recovery for early next season

Not sure that is quite as true now as it was a few years ago. More and more people seem to come back from it.

 

Even so, bad injury and a real shame as I liked what I'd heard about him.

 

Still, being out all that time he's bound to be hungry like a wolf when he's fit again...

I had surgery on this 4 years ago... Its not career ending for sure, but your knee is never the same.
