How times Change, 2 seasons ago Baptiste was the player I wanted in Liverpools offensive ( ) line up as an attacking midfielder - then he went to madrid and now arsenal -- in these last 2 years he seems a shadow of himself

 

So following rumours that Rafa is interested I was wondering what was the current view of him from the rest of you lot

I think "The Beast" is a stupid nickname.

He's not even that big.Ade Akinbiyi was a beast,Huddlestone is a beast.

 

I didn't see him when he had his breakthrough at Sevilla,I've only seen him at Arsenal and Madrid,and like you say,he hasn't been impressive.However,he has been played out of position,notably at Madrid.

From what I've seen he's a attacking midfield player,or a forward.

when at Sevilla I thought he was the free scoring AM we needed - now I'm not so sure, we'll see how he does for the rest of the season.

 

One thing thats interesting is how Sevilla turn out the young talent, its a shame we dont have a youth training relationship with Sevilla

Physically he seems perfect for this league. Unfortunatly he came accross as a better player before I actually saw him play!
