Digi camera software / hardware trouble

I'm trying to install a Fujifilm Finepix F460 camera onto a pc but it appears as though the drivers are not being installed properly.

In Device Manager, the relevant section has a ? or a ! and there are a couple of error codes ( varies from installation to installation between 18, 22 and 69 ) which states that the drivers are not installed or that the device has been disabled. When i enable it and then restart the pc..the device is still not enabled and the problem is still there.

If i try to install through " add new hardware " then the PC reads the cd and says it doesn't have any information about my piece of hardware.

 

I am about to throw it out on to the street.

 

I have reinstalled Java.
