Does calling strangers ever get easier?

I'm f***ing mortified of calling people I don't know. It strikes me as odd because I normally find it quite easy to deal with new people in person (except Coyler). I've been looking for work as a doorman or porter in Manhattan, and I've gotten a few numbers from friends who know supers, and I've been s***ting it before I call them, which I know is stupid because all they can say is no.

 

I do also have a very strong dislike for phones in general, which might be part of it I guess...
