Kanoute came on to take one of the best penalties I've seen in years - slots it into the right hand corner whilst looking at the left hand side of the goal - blew the keeper's mindset

 

Chevaton came on and then proceeded to single-handedly waste as many sitters as we did against Newcastle in the first half on Saturday.

I always liked Kanoute when he was at West Ham. Very talented player who on his day looked a world-beater.

 

Regarding Alves, it kind of depresses me every time I see him have another good game. I know we've probably got a lot more money to spend, but the season he's having, the lad is going to be worth megabucks this summer if we are interested again. If they wanted £15m last time you can stick at least another £5m on top now, and I just don't know if Rafa will pay that much however much he likes him.

 

Poulson looks very good indeed; but we need another top class central midfielder who'd need accommodating in the first team like Freddie Ljungberg needs hair straighteners...
