Brazil v Portugal

[Nebraska Red]

Just started on TV, not a bad game with both teams getting stuck in.

0-0 after 12 minutes, Placcy being booed and Carvalho being a tw**.

[Alonso]

Both teams seemed to lack something up front. Portugal defended very well and hit Brazil on the counter a few times with the pace and skillof Ronaldo and Quaresma who looked their most dangerous player on the night. Great vollied goal by Simao from a Quaresma cross and a good finish from Carvalho made it 2-0 to Portugal.

Did I see Cronaldo as captain of Portugal?! Weird choice, especially ahead of players like Carvalho and Deco.

[Maldini]

The vice president of the FA requested Ronaldo was made captain for a game. He passed away the other day so they granted his wish.

Aaah, OK! I saw most of the players had black armbands on but thought that was unconnected.

[cymrococh]

Was Ronaldo's birthday wasn't it?

[KD07]

I doubt anyone would be clamouring for Ronaldo to be captain again.

Sorry.

Sorry.

I believe there are quite a few who have come out and want him.
