D.Boon Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Outstanding today, man of the match just ahead of Kuyt. Playing in a deeper role today doing a lot of work. There were 2 english capatains playing today one was dominant throughout the other utterly ineffective
Benitez Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Carra was man of the match. But fec it, there where a load of good performances out there, Gerrard included along with Carra, Kuyt, Crouchy, Xabi, Aurelio,... The way it should be. I expect no less from Gerrard to be honest, this is how he should play week in week out
psl Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Carra for me too. Completely snuffed out Drogba. By the way, how funny was that free kick Drogba rolled through Ballack's legs.
CarraLegend Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 He was class and very disciplined too. He's clearly learning even more off Rafa and co which is great to see. He showed all 3 of their central midfielders up including the "2nd best player in the World"
Swipe Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 He was class and very disciplined too. He's clearly learning even more off Rafa and co which is great to see. He showed all 3 of their central midfielders up including the "2nd best player in the World" The fact the "Lamps" not only believes this, but actually used this phrase in his book will astound me forever! The "who's better - Gerrard or Lampard" debate has cooled in recent seasons!
Ste M Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 There never was one. Unless you're a Chelsea sycophant anyway.
Bootle Buck Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 (edited) Carra edged Stevie. He ws back to his absolute best and had Drogba in his pocket all game. Stevie though was all over the place and had his best game against a top team in ages. They missed Lampard in midfield. That fat fecker who replaced him was non-existant. Paul_LFC Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Finnan was my MOTM. He was absolute class today. Everyone played brilliant today but Finnan showed his class once again and nothing went past him.
