Really concerned and worried about our next few games

Tottenham away, Bolton and Arsenal (x2) at home.

Tottenham have won something like their last 7 home games, Defoe is on fire and they are playing well.

Bolton has been turned into a grudge match over the years and they always seem up for it more than us.

Arsenal, playing some great football again even without Henry.

Extrememly concerned that we've turned the inconsistency corner again.

Take each game as it comes.

OK, bricking myself for the Spurs game.

We haven't got a good record at White Hart Lane, but for some reason I don't fear them this season.

3 points in the bag.

But then again, we'll probably get beat again after dominating the game.

Not too worried about Bolton, as our players should be well up for that with previous history etc.

Cue for the "we're even sh1tter than we originally thought threads".

what happened to our huge amount of easy home games running until the end of the season? The tough games at the start was the cause of all this was it not.

to be honest, we had a few wins against some of the weakest teams in the premiership. that wasnt enough to suggest to me that we had turned the corner. even these games we have won recently, we have made hard work of them for an hour before scoring the first goal! these two away games against blackburn and spurs were going to prove if we really had improved. an away win at spurs would definitely be an improvement but...

Agree with you mate! Wigan capitulated on a day we could do no wrong. We missed lots of chances and could well have been punished by Charlton before scoring two late on. Even Watford took some breaking down. I don't think we have looked particularly great but have picked iup the points. My big concern is when we concede the first goal we don't seem to have the second gear to get it back. We huff and puff without any cutting edge or clinical finish. The lads we really need to be up for the next two league games as the gap between us and the @rse could widen. Spurs look good at home and Bolton with Anelka on fire certainly will be a handful.

bloody hell!!

we have lost a game and people are ready to slit their wrists.

reading some of the stuff on here, it would appear we got 4 lucky goals at Wigan, struggled to win 3-0 at Charlton, scratched a 2-0 win against Watford.

we lose away to a Blackburn side that had just been battered at Arsenal and now , all of a sudden, we are worried about the next few games.

the ONLY games we need to worry about are the away games. at home we can raise our game, especially against decent, or despised (in Bolton's case) opposition. after the Spurs game, I reckon our toughest away game does not come until February when we play the Barcodes and Barca.

the 6 teams immediately below the Chavs and Mancs have one thing in common. inconsistency. none of these teams seem to be capable of maintaining a lengthy unbeaten run.

we are playing for 3rd and 4th place and the battle will go on until the end of the season, unless somebody manages to get their act together.
