That cat that keeps stalking me, the one with the bell, which I hear ringing louder and louder as it comes towards me. Well, a few weeks ago one friday it was freezing cold and his owners were out on the lash until the wee hours so I let it in. It always has come over to me whenever I've gone outside.

Anyway, a couple of weeks ago or so it disappeared off the face of the earth. I thought it may have been run over as we live near a busy road. i missed it to be honset with you.

Anyway tonight I went oustide and I hearded that stalking bell a-ringing and coming closer - it was, I imagine it's first night of freedom from wherever it had been. It came rushing over as soon as it was let out and to be honest I was well chuffed to see it again. Usually though, if i throw a few pebbles from my patio it chases after them and so I can get indoors and lock up.

Tonight it feigned that it was after the pebbles and got in my house, and it was purring and all sorts of s***.

To be straight, I have never liked cats but I was pretty chuffed to see it again, and gave it a bit of food and that.

It wouldn't let me near it when I tried to let it out and when I finally picked him/her up I noticed that it'd been in for an op on it's left side just above its back leg the poor bugger.

I'm a sucker for sympathy towards injured animals so I played around with it a bit before it finally seemed ok to go back out.

Anyway, long story short, i've realised I have a proper soft spot for this animal and it seems, it for me, so do you reckon if I went round to next door but one and explained things I could buy it off them?

What would you say in that position?
