it was, again.

i was singing loud as usual in 206. but i wonder how much better the atmosphere would b eif A) we were playing well B) we were not mid table mediocrity (for the time being at least)?

I still say there are too many tickets going to 'one game a season fans' who would rather sit there and take pictures and text their mates than get behind the team.

But saying that, there are 20 odd thousand season ticket holders who go every week who sit there and do nothing.

i agree 100%

on a different topic i have a great deal of respect for the lads in the left had corner of the kop (left if your sat in it) and i would like my season ticket to be overthere so that i could join in as well. does anyone know who these people are?

reading the tinternet forums its clear that we have a lot of singers who go to rawk, ynwa etc. when we move stadium, why dont we arrange for all of our ST tickets to be renewed at the same time and ask the club to sit us all together?

Great idea and has been muted before, don't know what plans the club have though.

surley this is for the fans to organise. i dont see how the club can arrange something.

if we write to the club with our details and say we want to be in the middle of the kop, and all sat together, the boad are going to take notice.

I think the fans need to start it off.

Ban season tickets. Problem solved.

From the evidence of cup games, when there are fewer season ticket holders around me, I would say this would be a disaster. Most non-season ticket holders seem to enjoy abusing our own players, even when they are playing well.

Don't paint us 'few games a season' guys with the same brush, it could be argued that most of the season ticket/locals have become used to the privilage of going to Anfield and watching the team and take it for granted, When I go I enjoy every minute of it and sing my head off, and I know a lot of people the same as me.

Having said that, I was at the game last season and the guy sitting next to me asked me which player was Owen! He may have been a fellow OOT'er...

I know plenty of season ticket holders who sing their hearts out at every game.

I also see people in the non-season ticket seats by me, who don't sing, just moan, turn up late - are more interested in getting food halfway through the game or getting a pint at half time or if they turn up on time, talk through YNWA on their mobile.

The are good and bad ooters/local/STHs/non-STHs

Season ticket holders are by definition loyal supporters. They fork out £600 every year for their ticket, and turn up to all the home games. Most of them have grasped the idea that they are supposed to encourage the players, rather than slagging them off all through the 90 minutes.

I agree that because season ticket holders go to all the home games, each game is less of an event and the level of noise from the crowd is often disappointing these days. However, when the team is putting in a second-rate performance against second-rate opposition, it is difficult to work yourself up into a lather. I think you need great play on the pitch to bring out the best from the crowd. :)

Prat next to me yesterday from Scandanavia (Pi**ed) turns up staggering round, finally falls over people as he comes along the wrong aisle,

15 minutes into the game, ask`s everyone for a light

Gets up after 40 mins, fu**in comes back with a fag in his mouth 10 mins into second half, falling over people in wrong aisle again, more pi**ed up than ever  then goes 5 mins before full time, now this must of cost him a fortune to come over not knowing what`s going on, Tw**, Big Baldy bloke in black, some decent supporter could of been there.

Will we see the day when we have a mascot and 'special' music when we score ?

That's for tacky clubs like Bolton!

Another thing I would hate to see is the electronic advertising hoardings that start flashing when you are trying to concentrate on the game. They seem to be spreading like wildfire around the Premiership grounds :(
