Guest mikeg Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 (edited) I think ill add my opinion on the rotation policy, there seems to be quite a general divided opinion on it but to me its quite simple, does rotation work? erm look at the league table, NO it dosent to me that should be the end of the discussion but ill elaborate further to try and hammer it home to the thick ones amongst us, the people that point to the 2 cup wins as evidence to back up there claims that rotation works, erm hello!! we went all out to win those he cups once they were in touching distance, we used the rotation policy and rested our good players in the league so we could PLAY OUR BEST 11 in the cups, and what happened? we won the cups lol, so is that proof that resting players works or proof that playing your best 11 works?? hmmm its not hard to do the maths surely, but for those still unsure id just like to say 'we rested players in the league and finished below everton, we played our best 11 and won the champions league'!! so to me the 2 cups wins do nothing to back up the rotation policy at all, on the contrary it does everything to prove that playing our best 11 is the way to success, for f***s sake im 30 and i play 5 a side 3 times a week, im about 2 stone overweight but i do ok, its only a game of football ffs its not a supreme extreme physical endurance test, it is well within a healthy fit young man to play 2 or 3 games a week, people point out rafas success is spain as proof to the rotation policy working, he didnt rotate at valencia so thats the end of that debate, what he is doing with liverpool now is the 1st time he has ever tinkered on this kind of scale before, and sadly im afarid it has no chance of bringing us the premiership title Edited October 30, 2006 by mikeg

Benitez Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 lol calling people thick is really the way to go.
DazzlaJ Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 about as boring as your grandma in the sack son ffs I thought we banned all the lunches
Tosh Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 I took a look at the league table and thought "irrelevant" Let's have a look in May, shall we?

fyds Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 One European Cup, FA Cup, Super Cup, Charity shield and our highest ever premiership points tally ever... 99 games they say in a row - in other words, ALL last season and most of the previous one...no-one was complaining too loudly then before the press thought it was a valid point in their know-nothing world were they?
Guest mikeg Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 I took a look at the league table and thought "irrelevant" Let's have a look in May, shall we? i am the ultimate optomist i always have been, but we have blew it this season
fyds Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 i am the ultimate optomist i always have been, but we have blew it this seasonblown, you mean - and no we haven't - yet. No trophies in October, remember?
CarraLegend Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 for f***s sake im 30 and i play 5 a side 3 times a week, im about 2 stone overweight but i do ok, its only a game of football ffs its not a supreme extreme physical endurance test Brilliant

CarraLegend Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 i dont think you realise who your talking to here do ya? A total whopper?
DazzlaJ Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 i dont think you realise who your talking to here do ya? Do you work on Edwards?
Benitez Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 i am the ultimate optomist i always have been, but we have blew it this season but there are other reasons for the poor results we've had. Some of the players that have let the team down so far this season (and there have been a fair few) have been the players who've been playing most of the games. Kinda a slap in the face to the old blame the rotation game for you innit.
fyds Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 For f***s sake im 30 and i play 5 a side 3 times a week, im about 2 stone overweight but i do ok, its only a game of football ffs its not a supreme extreme physical endurance testAye - there's nothing like wobbling around bright red at 10miles an hour with fag breaks at the highest level...
Guest mikeg Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 blown, you mean - and no we haven't - yet. No trophies in October, remember? tbh i fully expect us to pick up a trophy, the league would have taken a mammoth effort with chelseas strength in depth, it just would have been nice to have kept up with the pace as long as possible to keep those hopes and dreams alive, unfortunatly the unnecesary rotation this season has pissed on that bonfire A total whopper? correct, im that big one that got away

We still have almost 30 games to go as does everyone else...many a f**k up all round can be expected yet. I was always told to play to the full 90 minutes - not give up the moment you fall behind. Following your logic, we lost to AC Milan in Istanbul.

Following your logic, we lost to AC Milan in Istanbul. the funny thing is if he played his best 11 away from home and rotate when we played at anfield, we could probably get away with that i do back rafa but its plainly obvious hes a bit stubborn lol, theres no way hes gonna drop his policy now he is getting slated for it in the media but i can guarantee he will quietly tone it down a bit and he wont be doing it as severe next season, people point to his success in spain but never rotated his players at valencia anywhere near as he is doing now Edited October 30, 2006 by mikeg
