maybe the reason i'm so unhappy and frustrated at the mo', regarding all things anfield is that the club means so much to me.

this all sounds a tad cissy-esque but i've followed the red men for nearly 30 years now. through thick and thin i've been red and moan, groaned, whinged AND celebrated like a fool.

maybe that's it then - pinch meself, realise it IS just a game and form is indeed temporary whilst class is permanent.

rafa is the man, gerrard is a great player with much top class support around him on the field. there's passionate and vociferous support around the planet who get angry and frustrated like those at anfield because they care.

results and performance are crucial but our club and heritage is paramount.

heads up, hard work, faith and patience are needed - YNWA

having said that if reading game goes t*** up, sack 'em all and burn parry. bring in andy gray and curbishley - they know the score!

Something a lot of people could do with doing, mate. Been having the same thought myself over the past couple of days.

This year I was diagnosed with MS. Others on this forum have been struggling with epilepsy or their brother has been missing for over a year. In the grand scheme of things, losing a couple of games (even against teams we hate) isn't such a big thing.

The great thing about football is you can always move on to the next match

Really sorry to hear that Kahnee.

Reading about these kind of things makes you look at football differently...

FFS MAN UP ;)

You'll be listening to the Village People next

Seriously speaking though - football lost whatever 'magic' it had for me after leaving Heysel.

Moving over here, not going to the games - the difficulty of getting the results and match reports in the pre-Internet era - also played a part.

Atm Chelsea buying the PL doesn't help either.

I'm sorry bit I just can't agree.

I've gone through all matter of s**** in my life (loosing close ones, cancer scares, etc) and I have to say it doesn't make what happened on Sunday any easier. There are of course things that are more important then football such as your family, but it didn't feel like it to me at the final whistle on Sunday.

It's more then just a game to me, it's a huge part of life and will dictate my humour for a good few days after. I'm still in a humpy humour now and people are avoiding me in work. However for about 3 months after the 25th May 2005, people couldn't get enough of me. I was a veritable happy-farm.

Maybe I'm shallow, but that's how I feel.

that's not shallow at all. what's the point of anything if you don't feel it?

i tried to allude to such in me original post - life has/must/will go on though.

i can't control this rather murky patch of form so i'll try and get me head up in between swearing at the thought of sunday again. or maybe i just aint red enough - but before this turns into some sort of support thread for 'coping with liverpool and testicular cancer' - i'll batter any fecker who says i'm not red enough on their colour chart of supporting the redmen.
