is this just for experience/bare bones option, or is he remotely ready, and if so, in what position?

I'm not sure what position Gary sees Peltier in as he appears to have played both right side positions (right back and right wing) plus centre midfield?

great news. I'd love to see a few of our younger players get in the squads, if only to show the senior players the urgency and desire they need to refind.

We leave four injured players back home - Gerrard, agger, Fowler and Kewell.

We go to France with 19 players, including injured players like Sissoko and Kuyt.

If Sissoko and Kuyt don't make it. We can end up with this line-up/squad

Reina

Finnan-Carragher-Hyypiä-Riise

Garcia-Alonso-Zenden-González

Bellamy-Crouch

Subs:

Dudek

Warnock

Pennant

Aurelio

Paletta

Peltier

ONE AVAILABLE PLACE

So yes, we are at the bare bone now.

I guess Sissoko or Kuyt will sit on the bench even if one of them still are injured.

I think there was a quote that MOmo has an 80% chance of playing, so he'll probably be on the bench.

THis probably means to me that Pennant will start and Garcia will act as the backup striker and right midfielder.

I'm sure he'll start. The midfield would be too light without him. He's one of those players that you can play through a bit of pain.

I think we'd get beat if Zenden starts, he's shown nothing like the charity shield form since that game and would leave us light in midfield. It would take one of Xabi's best games for us to get anything from the game.

Peltier is on player list b according to UEFA.

whatever that means.

We can name a certain amount of players to be eligible for Europe (25 I think), but aside from that any players under the age of 21 (could be 23) from within that country or who've been trained up by the team's academy are eligible too, this is probably what list B means

Any idea when Kewell will be playing again?

We're not quite at the bare bones yet.

Elgin City at the weekend named a full bench of five subs, but two of them were at home unwell and one was sat on the bench with his broken arm in a sling.

That's being down to the bare bones.
