I suspect this sort of attitude is one of the many reasons Rafa must love (non gay way) Carra :D

Although, I doubt he needs to worry, being as he is one of the best centre backs in the league, it's just typical of Carra's team attitude to think this!

Carragher Fears For Place

Jamie Carragher has admitted he is concerned about regaining his starting place in the side, particularly with the form of Daniel Agger in his absence.

The Red's vice captain is battling to be available for Saturday's Merseyside derby after sustaining an ankle injury in Liverpool's opening day clash with Sheffield United

'I've always been concerned about my place and have learnt never to take anything for granted,' said Carragher.

'Gerard Houllier would always bring players in for my position so I've always been prepared for a fight.

'I'll battle with anyone. This is one of the reasons I don't like getting injured because it gives someone else a chance to do well.

'Daniel has done very well alongside Sami (Hyypia), particularly if you consider he is still finding his feet.

'People might assume me and Sami will play because we're the experienced ones, but I have to be honest and say that if Daniel or Gabriel Paletta come in and do well, then they should play.'

It mught be interesting to see who makes the more successful manager Carra or Gerrard, if they go down that road.

i think carras got a greater interest in the details of the game. he, with xabi, are the football anoraks, out of which mould managers are made.

i'd dare to say that carra may also have more of an instinct at how a team and tactics work whereas stevie's more instinctive...maybe that's part and parcel of being a flair player, but then is it the more prosaic types who make the best managers?

That was may first thought as well. Carra seems to be a tad obsessive (in a good way)about the game in general and may be more interested in the finer points of tactics and such. He seems to know his role inside out as well as everyone elses(!) and he seems a natural orgainiser. Could certainly see him being a great coach. Maybe some players may find Gerrard more inspirational to play for though?Perhaps we've got a new 'dream team' managerial team of both Carra & Gerrard - coach & manager?!

fear that would be like trying to get rafa to coach a team for kk to manage

remember when GH signed Steve Finnan, and Carra said he was going to 'send the boys round'

Finnan had never been so happy

Why?. Family Connections?.

;)

They've already left a small deposit in some property there.
