Strange lump

on my upper arm. Appeared when on holiday - under the skin, not like a bite from a mozzie or anything but a hard lump like on the muscle...it's still there. I have no explanation for it..

(it's kinda like a lump after an injection but it's harder and more formed )

Is it normal for lumps just to appear?
