I remember hearing some talk at the end of last season that the powers that be were thinking of increasing the number that can be named as subs. Dont want any disharmony in the ranks and not being part of the match day squad at the very least could be demoralising for some.

Was talk of seven but I don't remember it being settled on. 99% sure it's still 5.

 

7 would deffo make sense for the richer clubs some I'm sure it will happen sooner or later...

Exactly why it won't happen, cause most the clubs will know it doesn't benefit them as much.

 

Would be great, you could have a GK, two defenders, two midfielders and two strikers. The likes of Aurelio, Kromkamp and Kewell would always be in the 18, such is their flexibility.

I think there's a case for further subs if a game goes to extra time. I seem to remember Rafa saying something on the subject last season.
