The crush inside the ground was bad as well. The one where everyone went flying down the stairs.

 

There was one too in the seats although caused because two of ours ( at least) kicked off at each other and took a whole section out from near the back of the stand. Just missed me, but some poor old fella ended up cracking his head. First half I think. I was still in shock from the crush in the tunnel and the pitch darkness on the stairs. Wanted to just leave and go back to the hotel as soon as I got inside the ground.

Benfica was horrible, but it was my first away experience so I had nothing to compare it to. As soon as we got out of the stadium it was fine.

 

We had the best waitress in the Hard Rock Cafe, if that helps?

Anderlecht was a farce, people being kept behind the gate when they were holding tickets for others.

 

After the match the subway station was an accident waiting to happen forcing so many people in and down one escalator, crowd control using dogs etc.

We need a Hard Rock Cafe in every stadium. And clone that waitress.

How odd we didn't experience that but to be fair we were on the outside of the crush by the wall and I didn't speak to you after the game so wasn't aware you'd had a problem.

As I am in a good humour - No Murph.

 

I was lifted off my feet a number of times. I had my arms pinned one behind and one in front of me. Crushed very hard. Then pushed up against the railings on the other side - no stewards anywhere and the police just looking down on us from the road. There was a barrier across the middle of the tunnel for no good reason.

Really was a disaster waiting to happen. Not a joking matter.

Missed the tunnel on way in, we went past it up the side onto the road and over so had no problems at all.

Anderlecht was s**** going back with the crush in the metro.
