Memories of the CL final daytime build-up

I wasnt lucky enough to be there myself, but remember waking up feeling sick with nerves and spending the day refreshing the pages of YNWA. Then someone posted a link to the webcam at Taksim Square and it was filling up with reds all having a ball. Then there started the texts and phone calls from forumites who were there telling of their antics getting there and the night before and what was happening around them. As about 5pm approached people were wishing each other luck for the night and recounting where we were watching the match.

 

The rest of the day is as they say a drunken blur and history was made!

I remember one of my best mates who was a blue wearing a AC MIlan tracksuit, for all the stick and violent beatings he got he never done it again.

 

Any, in the hours leading up to kick off, streets were empty the odd few couples wearing red and white were around and it was f***ing boiling
