  7. Let me nail my flag to the mast here - I'm scouse born and bred, but have moved over to the beautiful hills of North Wales and now work amongst these 'inbred neanderthals' [as you so eloquently put it] and have even dropped my standards enough to marry one. Now I'm not going to defend some of the more cretinous elements of your average Welsh footie fan, but neither do I like or agree with some of the vitriolic and kneejerk racism seen on this thread. As Bob points out [after he'd calmed down and realised his initial attack was well OTT] for Cardiff read Millwall. These are small clubs and their fans get over-excited when the big boys come to town. For my part, I know loads of Wrexham fans and they are mostly good lads - got to say I've a lot of respect for them when they follow a sh*t team endlessly around the country and their club is constantly battling to survive. As for Cardiff singing 'Ring of Fire', I seem to remember singing 'You got your education from the Kop' in times past - surely this is yet another example of where we lead others follow? BTW Bob, correct me if I'm wrong but I think Wrexham, Swansea and Cardiff ARE part of the English FA [for some unknown reason I grant you] and thats why they can't compete in the Welsh Cup and thus get into Europe. Just to finish - when you accuse them of being sheepshaggers [which I do on numerous occasions!] they reply 'we shag 'em then you eat them'. and taught the first one to the jocks! 'we all dream of a team of georgie bests' indeed
  8. We had a good view from the Main Stand and couldn't tell but having seen it on the telly later i reckoned it was a clear pen. The one late in the second half on Kuyt was even clearer. Although Bennet didn't have a total disaster there were too many inconsistencies [like the playing advantage in the second half - ridiculous!] Can't agree he had a good game Andy
  9. We were having a beer in the Oakie about 4.30 yesterday when one of the lads came legging in and said that a big gang of Arsenal had just ran down the road jumping on cars and the like singing 'we won the league on merseyside' etc. Apparently they were followed by a load of Reds as they headed for the ground. Another forum mentioned a gang singing 'sign on' outside the Kop about an hour before kick off - possibly the same bunch. Gobsh*tes give normal Arsenal a bad name. Anyone else hear or see anything going off?
  10. Thierry Henry is a top player and a class bloke. I actually applauded when he scored, although looking back after MoTD I should have been screaming at Jerzy and Carra! Well done to everyone involved in this. It was an emotional day - I said at half time that the score was hardly important today - the Mosaic and singing reminded everyone watching what we're about as a club and as a community. This was seen all over the world. We had a text from my bro who is working in the wilds of the jungle in Ghana who was amazed and very proud of everyone at the match yesterday. BTW, we were in the Main Stand for the first time in ages yesterday [usually Kopites] and whilst not everyone got involved at the start of the game, by the time 4-5 minutes had gone by most around us had joined in [and I only got told to sit down once - and that was by a jobsworth steward!] Fantastic job wel done lads - keep up the good work. 11. i had a 1989 Cup Final scarf which i always wore. It got dirty that day when i was sitting on it on the sand track round the pitch at Wembley. I wore it pretty much every home game until it fell off when I was absolutely bollo*ed down in Cardiff after the Rent Boy League Cup final. I decided to buy a new one at John Lennon Airport on the way to Istanbul and I hope to wear it for a few years yet, but for some reason I haven't taken it much this season. I reckon scarves are class for one reason - You'll Never Walk Alone. Celtic's fans were an amazing sight [as well as sound] when we were in Glasgow a couple of years back, and that was down to the millions of scarves everywhere.

  19. we were singing 'come on within, come on without - you ain't seen nothing like the mighty kuyt' on Saturday on the Kop
  20. st on the Kop for me

  22. Just to add my two pence worth on Morgan: My Mam used to work VERY high up in Redrow - from the days when he had one site in North Wales up to just before he sold out - so worked for him for more than 15 years. In her opinion although the man is a master businessman [and an avid LFC fan] he would be a disaster as owner of the club. He'd be in it for himself not the fans, and we'd end up with him micro managing the team [which would obviously spell the end of Rafa as manager]. She even went as far as to say she'd never go the match again [she's a season ticket holder in the Main Stand] - now thats a hell of a statement from her especially!!
  23. Didn't think it was that cold - - - until we got to that friggin tent at the airport. I thought I'd been dead clever only wearing a T-shirt [the rest of my bunch bought jackets too] but jesus was I shivering as we were told that the 'pissingers' would have to wait in the tent-from-hell.
  24. If this is Stevie's usual reaction to his fans asking for autographs then his attitude stinks. Full Stop. However, how the hell are we to know if there were any extenuating circumstances which may have caused his actions? If so, we're castigating him for nothing. As an aside, me and the missus stayed at the Vale of Glamorgan Hotel after the Charity Shield, and the welsh squad were staying there too. All apart from Bellamy that is, who apparently has a house around the corner. Anyway, on the Tuesday morning we spotted him getting dropped off by his missus [he was a bit late - most of the others were changed and had walked across the carpark to training already!]. He quickly got changed and my missus legged it after him across the carpark to get his autograph. He had a face like a smacked a*** until she gave him her LFC pen to write the autograph - then gave the biggest smile and said 'Sure - who do you want it written to?' He knows which side his bread is buttered!
  25. ey..who's that sitting in me seat?
