  1. All spot on. However, he is supposedly a defender, who has the annoying/embarassing habit of losing 50:50 challenges.
  2. Very harsh. Yet he still managed to score goals. Perhaps, you can give us an equally reasoned reply, explaining why the current strikeforce cannot emulate/better a talentless, club footed speedster? ps I'm a bit down at the moment, how about a characterization of Peter Crouch to cheer me up? None of that matters
  3. Sorry, he must have been a huge failure. I must have imagined his goals that won/helped us win 3 major trophies? Where are the goals going to come from this season
  4. IMO, he was and is a better DEFENDER than the Ginger Coward, Warnock or sadly the new guy Aurelio.
  5. I forgot, despite being BORED TO DEATH by the DIRE performances; on here, you tow the party line or ...
  6. I wish I could agree. Anyway, as requested, I've just had a word with myself, realised that I'd forgotten to add an AWAITS CRUCIFICTION for the rose tinted brigade sentence at the end of the post This is a discussion forum, where I assume that a variety of opinions are allowed? IMO a fit Cisse, for all his faults, would score more goals than anyone in the current squad. Too many lightweights
  7. Djibrill Cisse must be laughing his socks off at this time. For all his antics, his CV at Liverpool makes impressive reading. Penalty in the European Cup Final; Won the European Super Cup single handedly; Scored a BRILLIANT goal in the FA Cup Final; Scored 19 GOALS (quite a few AWAY from home) in his final season (playing out of position in many games). All that, Despite horrendous injuries, and a childlike attitude. IMO, he IS a WINNER, who scored GOALS and delivered in finals. How many WINNERS do we have in our squad today? StevieG, Sami, Carra, Momo? STUCK?
  8. Was Dames James smoking a cigar? Sadly lacking: CREATIVITY and URGENCY. Appropriate adjectives: BORING, LIGHTWEIGHT, BORING, INADEQUATE, BORING, PREDICTABLE, BORING
  9. Carragher, Hyypia, STUCK
  10. VILLA linked, and have money Like me, do you dread any game in LONDON? Our overall premiership record in the capital is awful
  11. Pennant tactfully omitted :-) Is Barry a half way house between Ginger and Kewell? Shouldn't we aim for similar quality to Alves? Robben/Vicente ?
  12. No I haven't (he is better than Warnock). Don't mind him playing on the wing against West Brom ;-). I'm hoping we sign Neill, and that he plays left-back. Ginger will still get games against weak opposition/in midfield.
  13. Have to agree, Ginger is a COWARD. If you are not convinced, watch his next 50:50 challenge. After 5+ years, he still can't defend. Dreading ANY team with a reasonable right winger, i.e. Spurs away, when Aaron Lennon will piss all over him (5-3-2?)
  14. Cisse money probably spent. Neill best used as a LEFT BACK, IMO. Aerially, in particular, young Agger still has a lot to learn, until he has, Sami is still doing the business. Can't agree on Pennant. He is not worthy. Yes weaker clubs will want him, expect offers around the £2M mark :-(
  15. What planet are you on? SAMI still has LOADS to contribute. We're gonna get Neill for buttons. Where are we getting £10M from? Finally, who in their right mind is gonna pay £5M for Arjen Pennant? DREAM ON!
  16. The vast majority of teams who come to Anfield defend deep. Creativity is not our greatest asset. IMO, that makes our home record even more impressive. Rafa has clearly got the team working VERY VERY hard, to mitigate against our lack of invention. Unfortunately we are often NOT very pretty to watch. Away from home teams USUALLY (boro being a topical exception) don't sit back as much. Rafa needs to handle this major difference. More PACE up front? (Cisse did well away for the last few months of last season, could Bellamy do the same?)
  17. IMO, Luis was still ahead of most of our lot today
  18. Gerrard, Hyypia, Garcia
  19. Good job SAMI was playing (oh ye of little faith), Agger is a top youngster. Today showed he has lots of room for improvement in the aerial department. Stevie G is starting to lead by example. Garcia, for all his faults, is contributing well. That said, we were VERY BORING, and a bit lucky to win
  20. You are a Dick. Just how much rubbish are you gonna post on this key player? Sami is STILL, a top top player!
  21. Samis distribution was sometimes poor, but defensively he was solid (note how far left he was sometimes to accomodate the inadequate ginger tool)
  22. Riise and Pennant CONSISTENTLY jump out of too many 50:50 balls, Aurelio, Garcia and Gonzalez ok at Anfield, but away ?

    Gerrard

Gerrard needed to take responsibility today. The clever one touch stuff is fine IN CONTEXT
  24. Far too often, nobody in the box. Ginger simply cannot defend (after being nutmegged acouple of times the other night), I didn't think it could get much worse. We can't keep the ball, just watched arsenal ...
