Totally disagree. There may be some slightly older players - but they are new to the squad and lack the required experience at this level and playing for a club like Liverpool. We have several new players. Some of them are young. All of them need to gel and many have got stuff to learn before they will be firing 100% for the club. We've seen time and again just one player coming into a settled system and struggling. We've changed everything - possibly too quickly - and now people are demanding that a load of disparate players will little to no experience will magically gel and be the finished article. Maybe on Football Manager. But not in real life. Additionally, the manager, although he did very well last season - has little to no experience in some of the competitions that he's managing in - again - he's young and that experience and that learning will take time. It's not magic and it's not instant. Be more pain before we gain - but if you're building for the long run then that's what has to happen. He could have just gone out with a quick fix and got a s*** load of 'established' names and maybe that would have brought instant success - but as we've seen with other clubs that haven't got unlimited money - that short term gain doesn't translate to a lasting legacy. We need to build and we need it to be long term.

Brendan Rodgers, Our ex-Manager
Andy @ Allerton replied to Duncan Disorderly 's topic in Liverpool FC
If one of the obvious pennos had been given then we would have at least got one. -
What don't you agree with? Real and Chelsea are class teams. We have loads of new signings. We've gone from a team to a squad. Many are young and inexperienced and many have great potential if they can learn and improve. The team will benefit once everyone starts to gel. And we might have to move some players on. What bits of that aren't factual?

We're in for this lad in January apparantly

Disagree. We've been beaten by Real Madrid (Best team in the world at present) and Chelsea (Best team in the league at present) and we've got a lot of new signings. Some of them need to improve and make an impact but we have plenty of quality and are still in all competitions. Despite a bit of a rocky patch in games - we are still only three points off a 'Champions' League place (Though that might be more after today) It's a definate that the challengers for the top four spots will have a dip in form and it seems likely that if we can get a bit of confidence back and get players playing well - alongside the return of Danny Sturridge that we have a chance. We're not looking like world beaters at present, but also it's not time to panic and cry about things. We've gone a long way with Rodgers and we've now got a squad. Going to take time to get it working well and maybe some players need to move on. But there are positives. We've got some cracking players, a fair bit of youth and a fair bit of potential.

Showed some good bits here and there. Should have had two obvious penalties. Costa should have been well off the pitch. We didn't play well in patches and the final ball and finishing needs work. But we have a bit of a break now and have a chance to change it about a bit. No massive panic. Still more than able to get into the top four with a half-decent run.

We're going through a bit of a sticky patch. Every team has them. Hopefully we'll improve in the coming games. Ah. Another obvious penalty not given by this corrupt referee. What a f***ing cheat.
-
I think it should be remembered that we're playing probably the best team in the country at the moment and are only narrowly losing. We still could get something here. No time to press the panic button.

Could this referee be any more obviously bent?

Bellytelly off McCloud from Highlander replaces him

lol at that Gerrard corner. My cat could have done better than that.

To give Chelsea fans credit, they've sung their hearts out with their fine selection of songs "CHEWWWSEAHH! CHEWWWSEAHH! CHEWWWSEAHH! CHEWWWSEAHH! " Their classic "CHEWWWSEAHH! CHEWWWSEAHH! " And who can forget the wonder and intricacy of their "CHEWWWSEAHH!!! CHEWWWSEAHH!!!! CHEWWWSEAHH!!!!" chant?

Second. Ivonovich was booked earlier.

Allen and Borini on

It is your memory. Mancs were always s***bags under Ferguson

Some s*** spouted by BT Sports during half time. They are pretending that the ball hit the 'Seam' on the shoulder when we should have had a penno. Didn't mention the handball in the build up to their goal and reckoned that it was fine for Sterling to be smashed in the face (But that the Refs Association said it should have been a yellow ) I'd put Lucas on and get some control of the centre. Gerrard to be off - or moved forward (But that would mean binning Sterling or Coutinho - so maybe not so good an idea..)
-
Players have been strolling past him for a few years now. That's why he should be a luxury player further up the pitch with a free role IMO
-
That's not very nice. Although he's a gigantic bellwhiff of stripey Llama proportions, there is no real need to wish harm to his horsies.
-
Costa trying to start on Skrtel on the way off the pitch. Still no yellow card. Interesting.
-
lol Sterling gets punched in the face and gets booked for it. This referee, as has been intimated is a total c***. Is he a cheat? Well - every 'debatable' decision appears to have gone Chelseas' way..
-
Not sure if it was good blocks or laughable finishing to be honest. But yes, he certainly was in the way
-
Before Chelsea signed him, I'd seen him play a few times and he's the only player I've ever seen that looks a bigger nutcase than Suarez currently playing.
