) NEW: Yankubah Minteh to Liverpool is back on! Brighton are open to discussing a new price. (@foday_manneh_ ) If we get Minteh and Sarr, that would be ok.

Agreed. He sounds fed up. Seeing all the good lads go.

Virgil van Dijk on whether he wants Gakpo to stay: “What do you think? He's a quality player. I think we should keep quality players.” “Let's see what the next few days bring. I want him to stay not only because he's a quality player but also because he's a friend of mine. He's very important for us."

Nothing better than seeing a plan meticulously put into place and then executed to perfection.

INFO: Liverpool have not given up hope of doing a deal for Sarr, according to @alex_crook. Still hope everyone!

I think the 'plan' was foiled when Diomande said no.

Yes that's the only way it works. Gakpo out - Sarr and Minteh, or another actual right winger, in.

No you seem to be suggesting that a player is only good enough to win tje league if they are good enough to carry the side over a whole season. Which has never been how leagues are won or how squads have been built. Gakpo apparently isn't good enough but the most successful side of the last 10 years want him and we are linked with players who aren't as good.

They sold Savinho for 75m on the back of 2 goals in 53 appearances.

Well if none of Gakpo, Diaz, Martinelli, Madueke and Trossard are good enough to win the Premier League, that rules out 5 wingers in the last 2 years who actually won the Premier League. Gakpo and Diaz are more than good enough to be in a league winning side and have shown that. Not every player in a league winning team will be Salah and Van Dijk. They both more than played their part.

Do you think he is better than Trossard? Martinelli? Madueke?

Wonder how much they would want for Schade.

Surely you'd go back for Minteh rather than Sarr?

So winning leagues isn't evidence of being good enough to win leagues?

Diaz has won leagues 2 years in a row and scored 15 goals in 32 last year.

Of course they are. We won the league with them and one went to Bayern and the other is going to City. They are both evidently good enough for league winning sides. I think they think Barcola is the reason for that.

Are we sure Hughes isnt living out Brewers Millions?

Surely not.

We should refuse 85m based on what they asked for Savinho.

Barcola replaces him. And Diaz. And Salah.

Or just that he thinks Barcola will take his place. We should be buying Sarr and Minteh now.

We need someone to cover Isak too.

Seems clear we want him to go.

Run by idiots.

We'll regret selling him. EXCLUSIVE: Cody Gakpo decides to join Manchester City & parties now working to reach agreement. 27yo faced 3-way decision after #LFC signed Bradley Barcola; stay or Tottenham Hotspur also options. Dutch int’l chose #MCFC + talks advancing @TheAthleticFC
