Took a look on one of their forums and it’s hilarious seeing some saying that it would be crazy to take trophies away from the club and what happened on the pitch had nothing to do with cheating . They fail to see that the team has been completely built off the back of cheating

True but thing is if city get expelled from the league I can’t see Haaland and Cherki etc fancying some of those lower league games and could take City a long way to recover during some players peak years.

I wonder how many players had it written in their contract they can get out of the club if the result is guilty. Can’t imagine many high profile players wanting to join with that hanging over them regardless of wages.

Same with Keita in fact there are similarities as far as my expectation with Wirtz joining as I had for Keita… difference was I had a year of bigging up Keita in my head before he actually joined. Full of hope he was going to make a huge difference for us, but granted we were a better team back then with better players so it wasn’t the end of the world he was s***e. Eventually just the sight of him on the pitch irritated me like mad because he was just a complete waste of money and ineffective. I fear the same with Wirtz but he just has better fitness
