  1. "Ah yes Albert. Albert, Albert, Albert.. Many an evening we spent over a glass of shewy discussing welativity. As you can see he was a simple lad, could never get his 'y's wight. Kept calling me wik. Anyway that evening in the Swiss national team's hotel in 1905, we ended up settling on E stands for energy spent, equals mass behind ball squawred. Well, the wrest is history. Never have i had a more symbiotic welationship where he won the Nobel pwize and I won the LMA. Halcyon days."
  2. "I remember having a conversation with James Lovell back in '65, about the virtues of putting square pegs in round holes. I'm really pleased he took my advice onboard."
  3. "Wight lads, it's a long season and I don't want anyone over exerting themselves. Jamie, you're on the wight"
  4. "It wasn't the captains fault, he inherited that ship"
  5. Looked staged to me that.
  6. We need to get to a penalty shootout first before we see Coco shine.
  7. I guess we're not the intended target of that article.
  8. I agree. It was inevitable in the end. What I do find odd about it all, is Rafa's belief that he'd be back, as if it wasn't as terminal and outright as it was made out to be. I don't know. He certainly hasn't burnt any bridges in my mind since.
  9. How long has it been since he's managed? I'm not sure if he's right for now.
  10. I don't know, perhaps I'm looking for a conspiracy theory here, but maybe there was something in Purslow's comment on .TV when he said "Rafa’s exit was about as clear cut a case of mutual consent as I have ever been involved in in my life."
  11. What I like about Rafa over any other manager we've had in recent history, is that he lived and breathed football. He was always thinking about it, always taking notes, and until the last season when it seemed he had given up the fight, was always on the touch line orchestrating our players. And that last point is what I miss. Someone who thought out the game as it was played. Yes he made some bizzare substitutions, but with hindsight, most had some application of logic to them, if it was resting for a game in three days time etc. There are two things about him that still piss me off, and that's sub'ing off before someone get's a hatrick. I don't get that. The second, and I'm sure there's a reason somewhere, is his insistence of making subs at 65mins. It seemed a little more OCD than tactical. I'd have him back in a flash. I don't get all this "well he's spent a fortune, and look at the team now" when all you have to do is spend a little more attention on the circumstance of each transfer, ie sell to buy. I wish I heard that a little more in our media.
  12. Roy is taking the bullet right now. Not Rafa, nor Kenny. I hope we can remember that.

  14. Right, so the longer LFC defer payments to Kop Holdings, the larger the interest value they accrue. So if LFC went into administration, how far up the pecking order would they come in terms of settling debts. Sure the RBC money would be first, (actually I think players wages is primary, but anyway). The thing is, I want to know for sure where the risk is here. I want to know what I can do to contribute in hurting these f*****s. I'm no financial wizard, or savy with the latest city jargon, but I don't think I'm an idiot either. So where is the weakness in their business plan that we en mass can understand and exploit? Sorry, that wasn't all directed at you HG. I just think there should be a well publicised understanding of the real danger here, rather than us debate whether the word "rape" is the right noun to use in an expensive paper advert.
  15. Any chance you can give me a link, because from what I understand, Kop Holdings is charging LFC 10% per year, and from the last published accounts, LFC had deferred payments. Is this correct?
  16. 1/ Yes 2/ Yes. I cancelled my subscription to Skysports, if that means anything, as well 3/ Yes and yes 4/ Yes, although I don't get to many games.
  17. I'd like to see the accounts of payments to Kop Holdings. That there could be one very good reason to keep hold of LFC for as long as possible.
  18. Has anyone else thought of the timings of these leeks. No? Funny that. Looks like Torres is now cup tied...
  19. I've known a few estate agents, and that last line I fear is not far off the mark.
  20. I agree. Most things in the media fall under the heading of plausible deniability via sources close to... I'm intrigued on what you want to put on that banner?
  21. Well there are all sorts of reasons this may have been 'planted' in the press. Promoting the sales process or smoking out the real bidders is more than a possibility. There's been way too much brinkmanship coming out of the clube the last couple of years for me to not think this possible.
  22. Point is, he was told something. And was pretty adamant at the time it was a load of horse s***. Right against the flow of journo circle jerking. 24 hrs before it actually happened. He may well have made the rest up. But the fact remains, the call was accurate in terms of the press release.
  23. He called the press release of Huang's denial 24hrs before anyone else did.
  24. If you look at SoccerStats.com, you'll notice he clubbed five baby seal pups to the one Dolphin cigarete/nepalm incident.
  25. Regardless of results. The point has been made that Rafa has Fergies number. You try working with a hawk on your shoulder.
