It was in a way, wasn't it? The kits were better! You can tell if a tournament was a great one if the name of it becomes embedded into your mind. Italia 90, mexico 86, euro 96. Japan and South Korean 2002? Nah! Did Schilachi (sp?) do much after the tournament? Went to Juve didn't he?

I was only 11 at the time, but Italia 90 was the last big tournament (apart from Euro 96) that I remember being truly great.

There are some fairly serious rumours (repulsive if they're garbage) about the problems with Sol. I've heard the NOTW will be doing one of their classy 'expose's' this sunday. That's what i've heard. Hope it's bulls***.

Was so annoyed last night. But suppose we've still made a point on United, and pushed ever so slightly ahead of arsenal and spurs. Three points would have made for a very productive night though. But we're such a strong team now. Lets hope we get something at chelsea.

We were better than them on their own patch. People want revenge. The confidence Rafa has given the team, and the supporters means we now relish these type of games - and genuinely fancy our chances.

If we beat the scumbags - which im confident of - the draw will really open up. Chelsea will be the only team left to worry about, really.

As soon as the game the other week ended, I was praying for United in the cup. Wanted to play them again this season. Didn't mind where it was - but Anfield? Oh yes indeedy!

If we get at least one decent forward in, Chelsea will really have a fight on. Unless United buy a really top class CM, we'll steam passed them as well.

Cisse was an embarrassment. The least you can do, if you're an LFC striker, is put some heart and effort into the cause. Imagine what we'd be like with a top class striker. Even Andy Gray said it.
