  1. That’s sort of the point though, and shows how inept they’ve been. They could do that, but they are also hurting themselves significantly, they could have half a billion in PSR head room, instead they’ve got much much less, plus a player that doesn’t want to be there as well as the avoidable distraction that will bring.
  2. By not selling Isak Newcastle are in a losing situation more so than if they did. If they sell him they have £125 million or so and loads of head room in terms of PSR, but holding on to him, they have little PSR, don’t. Have the money and have a player who may not play for them, and if he does is hardly going to be giving his all, he’ll doing everything he can to get away as soon as he can. It’s proper cutting their nose off to spite their face stuff
  3. Sending it to the wrong Craig Hope would be even better
  4. Someone should send a picture of their c**k to Craig hope when it’s over
  5. Shut up d****ead! It’s an excellent move Jackson will be great for them is clearly what you meant
  6. Don’t think we’ll get him this summer now, we’ll get utility forward player instead
  7. Jason Tindall?
  8. I’m hoping it doesn’t but my expectations are tempered by past experience. I’d hope it’s not Isak or nothing, or wait for Isak
  9. I’m talking about the season when we went with 3 and it blew up spectacularly. It was an illustration of how we don’t always do the sensible thing even when it’s obvious of the potential consequences
  10. I think so, although there’s also the experiences of the past which do leave a massive question mark over any sort of certainty or expectation. Common sense says there’s no way we go into the season with 3 main forwards plus Chiesa and a 16 year old, but that same common sense would also say there’s no way you go into the season with 3 centre backs two of which have an appalling injury record. Don’t think so, not seriously anyway. I should have said a player like him really. I think Arsenal were linked earlier in the summer.
  11. I reckon Semenyo is more likely than Rodrygo. Need to really sort something out. Would be ideal to get another defender in and 2 attacking players. Letting Diaz and Nunez go without anything solid in place to replace them is looking more reckless with each day. I know Chiesa scored last Friday, but when you look at the bench at the minute there’s not a great deal there to change a game, which wasn’t the case last season. Hopefully something gets sorted soon, but going in past experience wouldn’t surprise me if we just sat on our hands. What started as an outstanding transfer window is t looking quite as good a it promised to be at present.
  12. I’m starting to think it won’t happen now and we won’t get anyone else either. Going to be tough with the number of games let alone if we get any injuries. I may have changed my mind again by the morning
  13. Surprised nobody has gone for Mateta
  14. At least it’s been an interesting transfer window for once
  15. We need to s*** or get off the pot. We’ve lost 3 forwards this summer and bought 1, we have our best forward missing for up to 6 games in December and January, and if we get any injuries we are very thin up top. If Isak isn’t happening we need to be finding a suitable replacement/s for 2 of the 3 players we lost.
  16. They’ll continue to harm their chances of ever persuading any player with ambition to come there in the future holding poor Isak hostage.
  17. What more can he do? Take a s*** in Jimmy Nail’s crocodile shoes?
  18. f***ing hell with all of these replacements. It’s like the worst house move of all time. They can all duck the f*** off, and when they’ve finished doing that they can f*** off again
  19. That’s not a plan B, that’s plan ‘shoot yourself in the foot’ Hopefully we have someone else lined up if something doesn’t happen in the next 7 days
  20. I think the problem is their own perception of themselves and their status. They could probably find a striker commensurate with their size. Part of the issue is they have a disproportionate estimation of their standing within football and are target players on this basis. They are competing with the likes of us, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Manchester City for players, when the reality is the their pull and standing in football is more akin to the likes of Aston Villa, Spurs, and Everton. Yes they have champions league football but they are not the giants they delude themselves that they are.
  21. But it’s and Isak who are breaking the whole universe asunder
  22. Where are you on the flipflopometer today?
  23. I'd watch this, it could be like a Pawn Stars type show where the seller brings the player in with an unrealistic expectation of what they’ll get for him, followed by experts ripping their valuations apart by dissecting everything wrong with the player, before a derisory offer is finally made.
  24. Tedious this now. Wirtz dragged on but it was pretty much done for ages just the payment details being worked out. This is boring, either make an offer or move on. If we go into the season short on forwards the way we were with defenders last time we were defending the title I’ll be furious, absolutely livid.
