What I would say is that Iraola has had a lot of churn in his full backs and centre backs at Bournemouth and seems to have sorted them out pretty well (set pieces aside), so maybe if he was given Spence to work with he could get a better tune out of him. On Konsa - I think he's a good centre back, but a terrible right back.

He was largely hyped up by one tackle on an Argentinian when England were 1-0 up and were going to the WC Final. If he was crap before the WC, that tackle doesn’t make him not crap. I think he’s just not very good. Spurs have bought Robbo to replace him. We bought Kerkez to replace Robbo. None of this encourages me to think that Spence is what we need.

I could be wrong, memory isn't great, but was part of Bradley not completing ninety minutes was that Slot kept subbing him off when he didn't have to? Some 'might' have been red card danger, but I kind of half remember Bradley looking pissed off being subbed once or twice.

I'm unconcerned by these unusual methods - the not dissecting the game immediately after it sounds interesting at least. The issue will be that the s*** is about to hit the shovel. Despite any eye test of improved performance in batches during games, if we're on 8 points after 6 games, he'll be given no leeway at all partly because of Slot's similar run of results throughout last season. Any extenuating circumstances such as lack of signings won't be considered an excuse either. I don't feel sorry for him - I'm excited by the energy he seems to be bringing, but he's being hamstrung by the club not backing him in terms of timely signings so he can get all of these methods across - unusual as they might appear to be.
