When SG manages to do this against the top 3 in the league i will be impressed .Them are the games he needs to dominate to be classed as a worlds best in midfield. We have been wanting in these games for ages.I just hope he shoves this up me a*** at the weekend .

I must be the only one who thought he had an aveage game , 2 moments of good football yes especially the second goal . but he gave the ball away a lot with his long range passing and was annon in the first half. Not trying to put a downer on his 2 goals but ffs it was only andorra.

Since when is scholes an athlete Xabi is awesome with the ball and rarly gives it away and always makes himself available for the pass. he is great

Against the better teams we seem to lose mare than we win with SG and Xabi in the middle. There is more to it as in we need an outlet on the wing and i hope it gets addressed this summer(like it did last ).Pennant has done ok not poor but not great. Shows one thing sometimes you must stretch your budget sometimes to get that player as alves has been great again this season and im sure will cost umpteeen more million

Its nothing to do with Sissoko having a bad game but i feel that if SG plays in the center , of the 3 to play along side Masch has the greater balance of the 3 ie he can destroy and can pass. Like I say Sissoko still has a lot to learn if the final 3rd which has been evident for a while This is not a sly dig at Sissoko at all , in certain games i think he is a must

If Masch turns out to be a success i could see this as our prefered midfield next season. I know a few on here will slate me , Alonso is a great player but Alonso and SG dont seem to work together too well defensivly. Sissoko is a destroyer and has a lot to learn yet. If we get a good r hand sided player then sg must play in the center with someone and if Masch performs as he did in the world cup then i could see this as being our best combination. I know its ifs and buts at the moment but i thought id air my views see if anyone agrees

He is ok imo but i wouldnt want him here scores the odd god goal but isnt the threat we need.I realy dont want him at our club to be honest

Zaragoza had a player called juan fran playing for them who i thought was their best player , is that the juan fran rafa was after in exchange for owen?? then tried for him again Looked descent anyway

I suggest you watch the game then reply , SG and pennant were head and shoulders above anyone imo. Dont get me wrong im not having a go at him he was just steady , thing is he isnt match fit so he will only get better

Just looking at it another way is it possible that Rafa has watched him very closely after nearly getting him last time and has decided that maybe he is not what we need. Offering him a poorish contract hoping he turns us down?? It is possible because it is a low salery compared to a lot of other players and it is his last contract offer before he gets into his 30's. Could be a load of bull but you never know

I dont want him in a liverpool shirt myself , although he is cheap and provides good cover along the back line.He isnt improving our first team anywhere imo. Too many free kicks and is another slow player , we need some more pace at the back.

I was listening to 5live this afternoon and the very subject came up, they said the rules were changed to accomodate us in the cl. b******s it was the fas fault and it realy winds me up when i hear it. does anyone still have a copy of that webpage that was on the fa site about chelsea and the asre possibly meeting in the cl and all the outcomes? It clearly stated in the what the fa would do and the time it happened they s*** on us. please post a link if anyone knows of a copy cheers

We will never win the league with no pace in the back 4, we are so open to the counter that we cannot let players bomb forward.Thats part of the reason we struggle to break teams down. Our results against lower league teams is good because they are prob equally as slow overall as we are.But our results against the top 3 is SHOCKING( thats not kneeejerk its a fact ) to say the least and one major difference is all the other 3 have pace in their side.

The lack of pace throughout our side is shocking , only a couple of our players have any pace whatsoever and it shows especially against the a*** as wenger only buys quick skillfull players. Im sure most on the forum have played or play football and the most scary thing to play against is pace , if your man is quicker than you you either bring him down or get skinned. I know it isnt the be all and end all but its plain to see throughout our side.If you have quick defenders you can play a lot higher up the pitch and pressure the oppsition ,we cant afford to do that because we are open to the counter and i just hope Rafa starts to address it.

Well SG scored 23 golas last season with a fair few coming from the r side.I think its more a case of our team finding some form at last after a slow start to the season.SG included in that he is now performing where as he had a slow stuttering start to the season as well. Rafa will play SG on the right for some games i would bet on it, Sissoko has a big part to play im sure as well

I know this is wishfull thinking but if these 2 lads are available in january parry should break the piggy bank and get them.We need new fullbacks finnan is now 31 and wont last forever and although jar is good he aint good enough defensivly. Both and 17-18 strong and very importantly quick . we need to inject some pace accross the back .I know it would be a big outlay now for both but we would be covered in them area for years.Suly in time it would be well worth it. Good quality overlapping fullbacks with pace would make a massive difference to our team and if parry is too tight why not have a whip round on the forum
