If the reports are to be believed then DIC are pulling out all the stops and are, perhaps, going against some perceived logic regarding the club's current worth. This would indicate that we will not be a typical PE buy for them and that there may well be no quick flip or even no planned exitin thew mid-term (5,7,9 years). If we are indeed to be a Brand Dubai trophy purchase then it bodes extremely well for the club and all associated with it. Let's not foget that DIC is the PE aspect of an extremely large (enormous) Sovereign Wealth Fund associated directly with the Dubai nation. SWFs are currently being sought out globally as an alternative (to the Investment Banks) source of lending and funding. If they get us it is my view it wil be a very long term relationship and will provide the financial base and access to global markets which we will need to catch and overtake the likes of Man United. I do of course retain the right to change my mind or edit this post in future times.
