    Who will Rafa drop?

    It was 'only' Stoke too.
  2. Not sure if the poster is reliable, but it's from Rawk: Seriously gutting if true. Maybe ES might be able to confirm or deny this.
  3. Havent actually got my ticket yet. But if/when i do, i'll give your kind offer some thought
  4. Cotton... Oh i see...you were being a hardcore scouser. South west London. If i get home from an 8pm KO before 2:30am, i've done well.
  5. Dunno about you fella, but i only get a limited amount of days off work, so with Champions League games, away ones needing 2 days off and midweek league cup ties too, i kinda prefer not seeing weekend games moved to monday nights.
  6. Absolute pisstake that, means i have to take a day off work for the derby and wont get home til close to 3am, with work at 9am. f***'s sake.
  7. We can certainly hold our own down there, previous visits have proved that much. Problem is though, they inevitably score at some point and without Torres, we lack the spark and quality in their third of the park. Gerrard needs to step up.
  8. Nail on the sodding head. Valencia, indeed...
  9. From RAWK Fair play to Parry, if true.
  10. From Marca:
  11. i think it's more of a "it's probably just a coincidence, but i wouldnt put anything past uefa" thread.
  12. We've got a strong case, but short of taking it to the court of arbitration in Lusanne, what else can we do? We're effectively arguing with the organisation who makes the rulings on whether or not we win our case.
  13. I do think that if we have a pop at them, they'll remember it well and get their own back when they can. They're petty f*ckers and i wouldnt put anything past them, so i'd rather not give them any excuse to screw us again. It's already been suggested that this decision might've had something to do with England's refusal to play in madrid next year, and it wouldnt surprise me if Uefa are getting their own back on the english, through us. If it's all coincidence, the timing is somewhat dodgy, considering the Atletico v Marseille game was 13 days ago and they've only just implemented their sanction now.
  14. I do appreciate where you're coming from and i'm one of those who's already booked and paid for their travel, so i'm totally f*cked off with this. But i still realise that, with organisations like Uefa, you do your case more harm than good, if you kick off and have a dig at them, especially publicly. This situation might well be done and dusted whatever way we react, but there'll be other things that crop up in future and Uefa already seem keen on dealing us a sh*t hand, without us antagonising them into treating us even worse on other things. I'll use the CL pre-qualifiers in 2005-2006 as an example. If we're in a similar situation again and we've spent the previous few years kicking off at Uefa and exposing their incompetence (more than it's already been exposed), they'll just use every angle they can to make things as difficult as possible for us. It could even end up as things like dodgy decisions in CL games, they're hardly whiter than white and i wouldnt put anything past them. So in short, aside from the fact that in general, the 'proper channels' ARE the more successful ways of getting things done, we dont really need to be pissing Uefa off and making them any more anti LFC than they already are. We'd be doing ourselves no favours, and we'd actually achieve nothing, whilst simultaneously giving them even more reason to screw us over for years to come.
  15. So you think they'll give a monkey's if we kick up a fuss?
  16. If they do move it, at least fecking move it to somewhere that Easyjet actually do fly to.
  17. Nothing is likely to be definite until the appeal is made and either upheld or rejected. Friday noon, we'll know more.
  18. It wouldnt necessarily be 'backing down' though, just a delay of the punishment. It would be the most sensible thing to do, so surely that's what will ha....oh sh*t, it's Uefa we're on about here...
  19. We can only hope Madrid's appeal has some kind of success, at least in delaying the implementation of this ban. If not, my friday will mostly be spent trying to change my flight and paying the additional costs involved. Is there a more incompetent governing body out there in any sport, than Uefa?
  20. Yeah, i alluded to that kind of situation, there'll be lots of people who dont arrive in Madrid til mid-late afternoon and 200 miles away is no solution for them whatsoever. It f*cking stinks.
  21. Typical UEFA nonsense. I take it your flights are already booked Will?
  22. As someone mentioned earlier, UEFA need to put on free transport from Madrid airport, to the venue and people with match tickets should be able to acquire this transportation from the airport and then back there afterwards. Just heard someone emailed into SSN saying he'd booked flights and hotels for 76 fans, some of whom dont land in Madrid until 4:30pm. It's an almighty feck up.
  23. My flight lands in Madrid at 12:55pm on the afternoon of the game. I dont even know how i'd go about getting to an alternative venue from Madrid.
  24. Is the possibility of an appeal, resulting in a delay of this ground ban, not a realistic one?
