'kin ell that's a tiny centre half . Has anybody seen him in action?
  2. Because my kids support Liverpool but I can't afford/get access to kids tickets at Anfield and the fact that AFCL play in red , have Liverpool in the name and will supported by other Liverpool fans will hopefully take their mind off the fact that Gerrard and Torres aren't on the pitch!
  3. Because they can't afford to go to Anfield but still want to go to the match? I've been a season ticket holder for 22 years and I was thinking of taking my 2 daughters to the match for the first time against Lazio because that's the only match I realistically thought I'd be able to get tickets for them. I was told by the TO that it will probably not be going on general sale and therefore I would need to have fancards or the new membership cards to get them tickets. I'll probably take them to see AFC Liverpool because it will cost me £4 for the pair of them , it's accessable and I'll find out whether they can actually watch a game for 90 minutes without doing my head in.

I thought the last reply was a bit rich from a Spuds fan "I think Keane behind Torres with Gerrard coming from deep will move Liverpool up a notch going forward. Kuyt hasn't got the touch or passing ability of Keane and I reckon Keane will outscore him It doesn't go any way to solving their biggest problems which is wide players and at the centre of defence"
  5. I've just phoned the Development Assoc and they said that tghey'd been to a meeting today and the plans had been scrapped. Whether that's just the official party line to be repeated before it quietly disappears or whether they're trying to cut down an angle of attck for SOS I don't know Just thought I'd pass on.
  6. I don't see how ALFC's success will affect Prescot , in fact all this publicity might spur a few people to start going to their local non-league. The whole 'why don't you just support an existing team instead of starting a new one' argument is not really relevant IMHO. Imagine if everybody would have thought that way in 1892 , we'd all be Bloos!

Although it was intimated that the 2 youngsters were South American
  8. I think it's more likely that money will increase in line with the level that they're playing at. They haven't got a sponsor as yet so money will be needed to support the teams including youth level and womens teams and I'd also think if it takes off they'd be looking to get a ground up inside the Liverpool boundaries so that will take a fair bit of wedge
  9. They're only paying them the average for that level. Any player moving will probably be doing so to play in front of crowds , the average crowd at that level is 65

Saying that every report has mentioned that he's been in Europ getting work permit rather than passport , but unless the EU have now got some kind of uber-work permit that allows you to work anywhere I presume they mean passport.

He's supposedly been in Europe for a couple of weeks to secure his passport so it shouldn't be a problem

As somebody has already said £3m is what we're getting for Itandje so it's a straight swap , but I think Rafa wants somebody who actually wants to push Pepe for his place rather than just sit on the bench and resign themselves to the fact that they're not going to get a game.

I'd say he was an attacking midfielder who more often than not drifts out to the right.
  14. IMHO they should have stipulated that both the extra places (or at least one) should have to be somebody brought through the youth system.
  15. Thanks
  16. I've never seen anything about that mate , any details?

IMHO he'd be ideal for the right side in the 3 of the 4-2-3-1

Daily Nazi Silva Link Rafa Benitez may have to go cap in hand to Liverpool's American owners again after identifying £20million-rated Spain winger David Silva as the answer to his search for more width. The Liverpool manager believes he can talk Valencia into parting with a player dubbed the new Pablo Aimar but may have greater difficulty persuading co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett to meet the asking price. Already having to wheel and deal to raise £15million for Aston Villa midfielder Gareth Barry, Benitez has been made aware funds are scarce. He sees the capture of 22-year old Silva, who can operate on either flank or just behind the main striker, as a statement of intent, though, and is exploring ways of funding a deal.

You've got to have a certain level of ground to play in the North West Counties league , I think you've got to have a club house too. As far as I'm aware there is nowhere within the city boundary that is suitable and they're hardly going to build one when they were only an idea 12 weeks ago. Prescot was probably the cheapest and it's easy for road , rail and bus links.
  20. Chester races are on that day so getting there will be a 'kin mare

Inler looks a decent player too. Skillful and a sly dirty barsteward
  22. Ant I don't know you from Adam but I can only assume that you are young becasue otherwise the way you react , you would have well and truly topped yourself during the Souness years
  23. I think Rafa may prefer somebody who can attack in a 4-2-3-1 formation and drop back to defend in a 4-5-1 formation so he may go more for an attcking midfielder. Somebody like Lucho Gonzalez would be a good choice for me , he's always impressed me whenever I've seen him and he looks like Mandolito off High Chaparal too.

To be fair to Alun he was just looking to float it about as an idea to see what sort of support it got but some non-league paper got hold of it and asked him to write about it. He said he didn't want to as it was just at the idea stage but they said they were going to run an article anyway so he spoke to the Echo first seeing as how it's a local paper.
  25. That's a post I've been wanting to write for about 5 years but have not been articulate enough to write. Thank You.
