  1. I'm wondering about a cheeky bid for Glen Johnson. A sly one.. pushed under the door inside a Christmas card.
  2. Ha.
  3. sell him for £80m and get in a decent right back etc
  4. Piece of piss that! Nerves? I say feck off to nerves me.
  5. We'd be down one holding midfielder... what with Momo not being a holding midfielder an' stuff..
  6. League Cup games, for me anyway, are games that should be used for a bit of gentle experimentation. We're always going to go into this competition with a great number of squad players but that doesn't mean that we should miss out on an opportunity to take a look at something. We have a depth in our squad that can take us all the way each and every year but I just can't understand walking out with a 433. Xabi Momo and Lucas just don't shout out 'a 3 in midfield' to me. OK.. maybe worth a peek.. let's see how it goes, but we haven't scored there for a while and to say I was surprised is an understatement. I thought this game cried out for a chance to see how Babel could do up top with another striker. Yossi was rested quite rightly as we need him, but I thought we might of gone with Voronin on the right in a 442 with Leto/Riise on the left. I just don't think we have the players to play a 433. 451? yes, most definitely. This doesn't come with a great in depth knowledge - I've never won a football tournament for instance - but I just don't think we're going to feed ourselves very well like that. Was miffed that Babel was taken off, tho I understand how Rafa is using him right now, but.. oh I dunno. 10 men down, 10 mins to play.. go 3 at the back. What's there to lose?
  7. weird... I got redirected to Greggs bakers.
  8. You got a link to an internet petition by any chance?
  9. It's quite startling isn't it? He goes in like a frustrated penis and bingo! It's 'get rid'? He lost his head... shhit me, I've seen it many a time and I'm bloody sure I'll see it again. As for Crouch's 'f*** off' to the Chelsea fans... good. Totally agree.. 'f*** off'. Great! Well done! t***.
  10. Yep. Totally agree. Get rid. One 'petulant' foul mixed in with a lot of media tittle tattle. That's what fans are for. We're the best.
  11. funnily enough, I thought Crouch was one of the better players out there. Three or 4 times he magaged to collect the ball and pass it to a team-mate and we suddenly looked like a team who could put some life into attack. An extraordinary performance in the context of that utterly dire game.
  12. agreed.
  13. I think the scare mongers were goal.com who were watching the game thru a very dodgy sopcast feed. I'd gladly bring the petrol... what a waste of time that website is. http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=412084

  15. A student from Cambridge University wrote a thesis called 'The Pursuit of Aesthetics, Excellence and Logistical Dynamics in the Post-Human Environment' in 2004 and interviewed all 92 of the managers in the English football league and noted that the Premiership managers, on the whole, had a 0.9% larger thumb size (in ratio with body mass) compared to the managers in the lower leagues, except Ian Holloway. He concluded that the use of sophisticated computer 'games' gives the top managers an 8% advantage over everyone else. Not many people know that.
