No I don't think we need to change our strikers, at least not our first choice combination of Kuyt-Bellamy.They have only just been paired together and have scored 11 premiership goals between them.I trust them to get 25 premierships goals by the end of the season which I think wouldn't be a bad total for a new partnership. The Blackburn game was a case of us not being clinical enough in the 1st half and not creating any clear cut chances in the 2nd half.If anything needs to be changed it is the attitude and performance of our midfielders.Steven Gerrard is not having the best of seasons so far with only 3 premiership goals and the other attacking midfielders like Garcia or Gonzalez aren't contributing much in terms of goals.We do need to sign 1 very exceptional attacking midfielder who is a goalscorer,creator and comfortable playing out wide.

I think it was Jol who said Kuyt is a 20:20 player - 20 goals + 20 assists a season.I think he'll end up with about 15 premiership goals this season.Not a bad start but I'd like to see a predator type striker bought in the summer to partner either Kuyt or Bellamy.

I don't think we'll sell Crouhie in January but we may sell him in the summer and release Robbie also.I would be keen for FSP's return and a new striker like Huntelaar.

Neill would be a good addition to our defence.Automatic cover for RB and CB.However we must still go for Dani Alves in the summer.Speaking of Neill though I've read reports that say we'll be paying Rovers 1.5m for him.Why would we be paying them 1.5m for a player who only has 5 months to go on his contract? And if the deal involves Warnock going in the other direction then Rovers should be paying us at least 1m as surely Warnock has a longer term contract.

He's too good to miss out on.His price tag will have gone up to 15 or 20m in the summer but he'd be worth every penny if we do sign him.

Alves for Rght Mid and Neill for Right Back - problem solved.

Probably not but if I'm not mistaken Cisse is currently with Marseille on loan so perhaps a deal can be arranged.But besides Ribery or Alves does anyone have other suggestions for players who can give us that cutting edge that we sometimes lack?

I would like us to sign 3 - 4 players - Neill,Alves,Ribery, and Bent (option). Neill looks like a sure deal and he would strenghten our defence.Alves is a must buy as the long term replacement for Finnan and someone who can comfortably slot into right midfield to take the burden of Stevie.Ribery would be a dream signing but if you look at many of our games this season especially at away games and even at home sometimes (like against Man City) we seem to lack invention and innovation to break teams down or kill teams off when we dominate possession (Boro away).Bent is a striker who has pace, skill and if he can score goals at Charlton then I'm sure he can strike up a dealy partnership with Kuyt.If Bellamy doesn't work out for us maybe Bent could be an option in the summer. Alves and Ribery would cost a lot of money but if we could sign just one of them in January then I'm confident we can have a good 2nd half of the season especially when we will be stronger with the return of Kewell (don't we all miss him on the left?) and Sissoko from injury.

No need to swap Hyppia for Neill as Hyppia can still contribute to us.Neill would be a welcome addition, then we would have 4 quality centrebacks.We should also try to get Alves in January as we need to rectify the HUGE mistake of buying Pennant instead of Alves in the summer.

My hunch is that Torres is Rafa's top summer transfer target.I think he will buy Torres,Pennant and Kuyt.I don't think he is interested in Owen at all.

Players Out: Cisse,Morientes,Garcia,Kirkland,Traore,Diao,Cheyrou,Pongolle,Le Tallec Players In: Kuyt,Bellamy,Aimar,Dawson,Torres/Defoe,SWP I think Rafa's top 2 priorities in the summer will be Kuyt/Torres and SWP.But given the lack of goals he may actually go for 2 strikers.30m should not be a problem.If we manage to sell all those in the Players Out list I can see a minimum of 15m coming our way plus another 15m - 25m coming from the board and proceeds from our current CL campaign.I also think there will be some swap deals involving Cisse,Garcia,Morientes and even Hyppia.

I think we need to sign two strikers who are proven goalscorers.Morientes and Cisse have to go.Crouch seems average and doesn't score goals but I'm willing to give him another season.I would sign Owen and either Kuyt/Berbatov/Luca Toni/Iaquinta/Diego Milito. I think we also need 2 players to provide width,creativity and imagination in the final third.I would sign Pennant for width and Aimar for creativity and imagination.

After his performance today I would be very surprised if Cisse doesn't return to benchwarming duties.Not good enough to be a Liverpool player under Rafa Benitez, no football intelligence, doesn't understand what the term team player means and obviously cares more about his hairstyle than his football.We have a good solid defence, fantastic midfield but just an average attack.Crouch, Morientes and Sinama are ok but we definetely need a natural goalscorer with a footballing brain and I think that's what Rafa will be looking for in the summer. Fernando Torrres would be great but might be expensive but there are other options like Darren Bent and Jason Roberts who would work well in Rafa's system imo.As for Cisse hope he has a good WC so we can sell him for at least 7m.I'm sure Houllier would love to have him at Lyon.He is after all a Houllier buy.

I don't think Cisse will be sold not in Jan or in the summer but we need to buy a natural goalscorer like Dirk Kuyt as soon as possible. He just scored a hattrick in Feyenoord's 6-1 win yesterday. Nando is playing ok for us but he's always injured.He doesn't look that fit even when he is able to play.A striking combo of Kuyt-Cisse-Crouch sounds real good to me.
