I agree i am not debating that - I think we should have kept him, he provided a goal threat, creativity from midfield and he also linked up well with Maxi.

Though neither of them tackle! Agree with Raul being played out of position, not quite sure why he was playing on the right side of midfield

Exactly alot of the chances we create atm are not clear cut, its one of the main reasons we have struggled so much this season. We definitely need a striker but we need a creative attacking midfielder just as much, someone to really carve open defences - there has been mention of Aquilani and Raul and imo we should have kept one of them, Raul linked up well with Suarez and also chipped in with a few goals. I dont see Bent as someone who creates chances out of nothing, he has limited technical ability and is not what we need.

The only thing i can cling to is that were only buying him because Villa are the only ones stupid enough to want Carroll and or willing to pay a reasonable price, this is a Bent Carroll swap deal that is being mooted right? Though we will probably need to pay extra as were giving them Carroll!

Get the ball...run a few yards, hold up and then lay it off and let someone else have a go, he had a couple of reasonable moments yesterday but I dont understand why they are so few and far between. Ok I am being unfair on him, he has made some great runs down the wing carrying the ball out of danger and spreading play...I just dont understand why when he gets to the box he does NOTHING, well other than slowing down play and then letting someone else do the work.

I dont think its as black and white as that, he has been caught flat footed so many times its not all because of chicken downing, yes our delivery has been poor but i have lost count the amount of times when good balls have been played in only for him to be behind play or just not intelligent enough to anticipate the cross/pass etc. Slow in body and mind.

Exactly if he was actually trying or contributing to our play it wouldnt be such a problem but as it is he is offering nothing.

Thats some assumption imo, i think its fair to say that both DC and Kenny play there part in any transfer and TBH i would think the final decision comes down to the manager. This has been debated to death, Carrol and Downing have not delivered, out of the summers signings Enrique has been the stand out, Henderson is showing potential though needs to impose himself more on games, Adam is a squad player at best and not bad business at the price we paid. As for Coates its not fair to make any judgement on him though he has put in good performances when called upon.

I am just a bit annoyed tonight, first there was Luis and then the loss, I had hoped the club would come out fighting for Suarez. I am sure there are a number of reasons as to why there not, I expect one of them is that with the FA showing such bias it wouldnt have made a difference and only serve to make the situation worse for both LFC and Suarez.

Sounds to me like they knew whatever they did it would have the same result and make the situation even worse, drag our name through the mud but there is something to be said for proving our innocence and destroying those f*****s at the FA at the same time. We havent shown enough PR nouse in this issue and if thats the plan now, its too little too late imo.

As we have all seen if he was English it would be innocent until proven guilty - ala Terry I see his pending court case has already been forgotten and he gets lauded every week for being such a star! Add to that the pathetic double standards re Rooney, unbelievable. It wouldnt be a surprise to see Luis sight difficulties and move on in the summer.
