See my later post - based on worst case, I am all for supporting a player but it depends on the circumstances. Hopefully its not true or there will be mitigating circumstances, tbh he doesnt strike me (pun intended ) as the type of person who would beat someone up unprovoked. If anything i have always seen him as a sensible pro.

I mean worst case, ie the story re this ex and if it was unprovoked etc. If he was defending himself or there are other mitigating circumstances then its different, but i do wonder how much bad PR the club will accept this season.

I like the idea of Hoilett - I think he will be a good player, not the finished article and I can understand the concerns about that, but he is direct, pacey and has a spark about him. If we can get him for around 6-7m then thats a risk worth taking.
