  1. If the film Midsommar is anything to go by, you want to keep the Swedes as far from mountains as possible.
  2. Think if Nunez is still here towards the end of the window, presumably because he's rejected Saudi – the only ones willing to pay what we want – he goes to Serie A on loan, either with an obligation to buy or the hope he does well there and European clubs come back next summer with actual money. We won't keep him here, even if only to save on the €5m we'd owe Benfica if we start him again.
  3. Can see Doak going to Palace and us buying Guehi in a separate deal, similar to what happened with Wirtz and Quansah. Think something similar could happen with Fofana as a consequence of us getting £15m out of Lyon for Morton. PSR shenanigans.
  4. We have no money so how about a framed portrait of Silvio Berlusconi?
  5. Harry Kane fits perfectly into the lineage of England strikers who are great players but charisma vacuums.
  6. Haha this reads like they made David Degen walk He was the player I most misjudged. Always seemed to fluff his lines with the national team so thought he wouldn’t be all that at Spurs, but he turned out to be outstanding. And definitely a player Klopp would have loved. Completely past it now unfortunately, however.
  7. Inter's Bisseck has apparently turned down a move to Palace after a bid was accepted. If true, I guess the Guehi thing might drag out a little longer.
  8. Maybe the PIF will give us a nice big wedge for Darwin in exchange for us giving NUFC an extra big wedge for Isak. Be curious to see how much the bid is worth.
  9. Their "starting value" has been going up in increments of £10m every week. NUFC have two choices: sell the player for a very large fee that isn't £150m and reinvest that in their not-at-all-ready-for-CL squad before the end of August keep an unhappy player, try to get a tune out of him until January or next summer, and then sell him later, probably for below what is currently being mooted and after failing to make the CL again because their squad couldn't hack playing in four competitions
  10. This sort of chat worked really well during the Ekitike saga. Keep going, lads.
  11. "There is money to be made on this deal, but stop acting like you're getting £150m because you're not. We can still walk away, leave you with an unhappy player and then pick him up for less in 6-12 months, so get serious."
  12. Can't wait to read tomorrow that we're expecting Danny Ward to step up to the No9 role this season.
  13. Yep. I think the lower bid and walking away is a way of telling NUFC to stop f***ing around. So far we've run the gamut of: he's not for sale he'd cost £100m he'd cost £120m he'd cost £130m he's gonna cost £150m I think we're saying to them, "We'll come back when you start acting seriously – until then, enjoy your PSR problems, trouble signing players and star player on strike."
  14. Not on the vaunted publication that is YNWA.tv, he wasn’t, and that’s all that matters to me.
  15. Someone should tell this lad that “exclusive” means no one else has said it yet.
  16. Saw in the report that the contract Newcastle offered Isak had a release clause for next summer. Would be hilarious if they sold us Isak and it then turned out the contract Gordon signed last season also had such a clause, which we promptly activated.
  17. £110m? We're such lowballers.
  18. What happened? Must have missed it as I was too busy posting s*** through lads' letterboxes.
  19. Man, missed out on the exclusive by three minutes. Gotta hurt after doing all that journalism to be beaten to the punch. Maybe he couldn't get Newcastle's doors open.
  20. We're gonna be the best basketball team in the PL.
  21. C'mon Napoli, you've got money now, even if you've already signed that s*** lad.
  22. Think Rodrygo and Isak are an either/or after the signing of Ekitike. Reckon financially we were only ever gonna sign two of the three. That would put Fofana in play if we want him. Price supposedly 40m, only 20 but already got game time at a decent level, won’t command mad wages and can play both sides as seems relatively two-footed. If he develops, maybe he eventually pushes Gakpo out and Cody gets Diaz’d, or if he doesn’t develop into a top-level player he becomes a squad player we can flip down the line. Gakpo is 26, Fofana 20 and Ngumoha 16. Seems like a good set of ages to continue progressing lads through with no pressure to step up right away, assuming Rio lives up to his promise, that is.
  23. Let's sign him in January then.
  24. Think she's probably held on exclusive retainer by Djokovic these days.
  25. Think having Ekitike there can take the strain off his muscles, get him more rest than at NUFC, where he was expected to play if only remotely fit. That in combination with Slot's magic ability to reduce injuries and hopefully it'll work out.
