Think Rodrygo and Isak are an either/or after the signing of Ekitike. Reckon financially we were only ever gonna sign two of the three. That would put Fofana in play if we want him. Price supposedly 40m, only 20 but already got game time at a decent level, won’t command mad wages and can play both sides as seems relatively two-footed. If he develops, maybe he eventually pushes Gakpo out and Cody gets Diaz’d, or if he doesn’t develop into a top-level player he becomes a squad player we can flip down the line. Gakpo is 26, Fofana 20 and Ngumoha 16. Seems like a good set of ages to continue progressing lads through with no pressure to step up right away, assuming Rio lives up to his promise, that is.
