Anybody who is saying he never tried obviosuly didn't see him run the line away from home for us from Xmas onward in his final season. And its balls he didn't respect the fans. A little tale: he threw his shirt to my mate after the Birmingham away F.A. Cup match (mate had actually barged into my seat so technically the shirt shoulda been mine, but different story). At Pompey away (last game of seasie I think), my mate brought the shirt hoping to get it signed. Ciise was warming up in the corner by the away fans, during the second half. He shows Cisse the shirt and asks " Will you sign your shirt Djibs, its from the Brum game ?". " I can't mate", comes the reply, "Rafa will kill me". With this he runs back toward the halfway line then makes a sudden turn back toward our end, looks behind him to see what Rafa's doing, and shouts " quick, get the pen ready". He then legged it to the corner, reached over and signed the shirt. Quality behaviour. Crouchy then took the pen and started signing Pompey programmes thrown at him by the Pompey fans and throwing them back at them. I know he could be lazy at times but: a) His goals ratio, especially considering where he played alot of the time, was bordering on excellent. b) He worked his a*** off on the rw from Xmas in his final season, especially bizarrely away from home. c) Helped us win a European/F.A./Super Cup d) Definately loved the club, and as the above illustrates did respect the fans. I personally thought him worth another chance, and wish him all the best wherever he goes....

Prob bull, but there is a lad over on O.T.K at the mo, "MightyEmlyn", who has newly registered and is convinced that Madrid are in for Rafa after todays league deciding game and that he has already made his mind up to go to them, which is why there has been no transfer movements of late. He does seem to write "plausibly" if that is possible. Prob bull, no sources quoted, but thought I'd just join in the random rumour mongering as I'm feeling left out.

Reading home is on mine. If I look like even more of a t** than normal come 10 a.m. then so be it, but I don'texpect to. Infact gutted, already booked work for Aug 19, and whats the chance of our home vs Chelski not being put back a day?

It's rectangular for a start. Not some identi-kit bowl. And the outside I have been to some similar. I'm trying to think of the top of me head here, but Nou Camp/Monaco?villa Park combined in its look/feel?

Don't agree with any of this. Riise is a quality defender. Wins most of his tackles on the half way line, before the danger even occurs. Would get into most other sides in the prem, and if you speak to fans of other teams he is consistently mentioned as one they wouldn't mind. And besides, he has had s*** in front of him all season, so hardly surprising he has been exposed at times.

Last season down the Kop end, in the Paddock toward the back. Judge the bounce of the ball perfectly as it bounces from inside the pitch and leap to catch it Salmon like. Get an "ooh" from the Kop. Then spot the lino in front of me. Can't resist the attempt. Throw the ball up in the air, so that it arcs gently down onto the lino's head (who of course is still facing the pitch). Except it missed by a nanometre. Get an "ahhhh" from the Kop.

Remember Carra going on about this before the Champions League Final. That some of his team mates didn't even really know who Milan were, and he had had to implore them of the importance of the match. David Batty famously hates footy, as does Paul Scholes.

Pennant has been my favourite non-Liverpool player for three seasons now, since I watched him tear us up at Elland Road a few seasies back. Sat in the first row, I was amazed how quick his feet were, and how much influence he was having, and responsibility he was taking for a teenager. Nothing I have seen since has caused me to doubt his ability. Besides, Wenger, ahem, knows a thing or two about kids, and if he was willing to pay 2mill for a fifteen year old, I'd reckon he'd probably be pretty good. If he keeps his head down (but looks up), he will be a fanatastic player for us, and a regular international come seasons end. And Mcmanananananannanannanaanannaannaman was an amazing player for us. Shame he never got to play in a great Liverpool side.
