  1. Yeah, I accept that point of view, but it just didn't ring true for me tonight.
  2. Think Benitez's honeymoon period is coming to an end. He's got to take crtiscism for those last two results, but more alarmingly our record against the other top teams since he arrived. It's worrying to say the least. Thats rubbish. First of all YNWA doesnt get sung after every game. Secondly nobody encouraged booing players.
  3. Nothing at all, and half time in Istanbul singing YNWA was brilliant, I was one of them. Just felt after that performance it just didnt ring true. Maybe I'm just depressed after watching two awful performances after the great display against Bolton. As a matter of interest when was the last time we conceded six at home?
  4. I don't know how to put this but it came across as being a little show offy. Look at how loyal we are type of thing. I know that sounds very harsh, but I remember not that long ago we were booing our own team off the park after better performances than that.
  5. Singing YNWA at the end of that performance is a bit ridiculous.
  6. Think theyre like Sky in that they're afraid to be controversial and everything has to be neatly packaged, included Linekers ridiculously smug gags. Lawrenson strikes me as someone who's threatened by what he percieves to be the hip laddism of Soccer AM and in his desperate attempts to keep up is turning himself into a joke. His response to Motsons reference to midfield anchor on saturday was excruciating
  7. Sorry to say this lads but the football coverage on Irish televison is in a different league to some of the shiite thats passed off as analysis on BBC, ITV and SKY. Jamie Redknapp, Ian Wright, Mark Lawrenson, Chris Kamara, Charlie Nicholas etc etc John Giles, Liam Brady and Eamon Dunphy are streets ahead in terms of analysis, honesty and entertainment
  8. Is it just me or is anybody else pissed off with the coverage on the BBC? Credit to Motson, he highlighted it a few times, especially when he said it was so loud it couldn't be ignored. And then said ... and WE SHOULDN'T ignore it. Got the impression he disagreed with the BBC's policy on the matter which from my point of view at least seemed to be to show as little of the Kop as possible. When have you ever seen a live game where the camera doesn't show the Kop in its entirety? The few times they did show it were from the top of the Kop looking down over the raised cards so as to make the wording incomprehensible, or from the main stand at an angle only showing a section of the Kop before quicly panning away. Dissapointed with the BBC and Lawrenson apart from being a clown is a coward.

    Dudek

His effort for the third was a joke. But Benitez shouldn't have dropped Reina. Stupid decision
  10. Alan Nixon is on Newstalk 106 on irish radio talking about Mascerano. He reckons, with no supporting evidence, that because he's so good we must be offloading a midfielder if we're buying him. His guess is that Alonso is going back to Spain. How do these fellas get paid? An eight year old could just as easily come up with that.
  11. No thats Carson you're thinking of.
  12. Is he being put in the shop window for the January transfer window? Unless Pepe's carrying a knock thats all i can think of. Strange that Wengers dropped Lehman as well.
  13. Thats our best team, but why drop Reina??? Don't like that at all
  14. Bit surprised United haven't had a look at him to be honest. Maybe their last experience with an Argentinian midfielder has put them off
  15. Right Think you might be missing the point there a bit to be honest.
  16. Rubbish! If you think you can do it better, then why haven't you?
  17. Unless some billionaires took over in the next couple of months ........... ......... but that'll never happen
  18. I'll indulge you cos you obviously have an answer lined up. How am I a tout?
  19. Hilarious.
  20. Thanks for that. Sounds like there's a helluva lot of good work going on behind the scenes. Exciting times ahead.
  21. Didn't see that one coming
  22. Lets say you were involved in the design process ........ how would you have it built?
  23. The stadium plans still seem very unclear considering it's not long till they start building it. When are issues such as the capacity, design, name, naming rights, stand names etc to be decided upon and announced? How will they incorporate The Shankly and Paisley Gates, Shankly statue and Hillsborough Memorial? Will they honour anyone else with something similar? Seems a bit up in the air to those not in the know.
  24. Where'd that come from Kev?
