Think he was dropped from the national team during the qualifiers. They have better keepers anyway.

Each to their own. Personally I prefer to be realistic and see any result with Arsenal, Chelsea or ManUtd dropping points as a positive result from our point of view, as it increases our chances for winning the title. I would bet my life on Rafael Benitez and millions of Liverpool fans around the world thinking similar. I also reckon that the likes of Alex Ferguson would have been happy with Liverpool drawing at home to Birmingham for instance even though Man Utd were playing their game on the next day.
