Thought the same myself - has put on some pounds which is not excusable. He is back for the United game too - chance to redeem himself? Lets see if he takes his chance. Reina was lucky with the ball he spilled that an offside was given. For me the difference between the two is that Reina doesn't let his mistakes affect him.

A lot of GAA teams are overtrained. That is the opinion of a friend of mine who is an Olympic athlete. He trains for 15 to 18 sessions per week - 2 to 3 hours a session but that is all he does. Some GAA teams are doing five or six sessions for two to three hours and are working on top of that. There is often a lot of training in GAA but little science to it. Why go on five mile runs when you should be doing shuttle runs etc etc. A test a few years ago between a number of different team sports players showed that a rugby union forward came out on top.

definitely a lot of internet based research on there why did gilroy leavc - i saw him doing a gaa show on rte on sunday mornings during the summer in fairness to the show they have a lot of time to fill and its something that i leave on if i'm in the car on my own.

I think its ok. Johnny Giles singing YNWA last season after we won the Champions League. Last night they had Paddy Agnew on about the Juventus doping case. They have some good guests on and they take the P1ss quite a bit. Better than most of the other stuff on the radio imo.

Did many players suffer effects from heading the rain soaked leather balls from before the 80s - must have been like heading a medicine ball. Surely todays balls shouldn't cause damage. Kids are more likely to suffer from poor health due to obesity than from heading a football. This kind of issue is a result of too much funding for stupid committees.

Two very well organised teams last night. Both teams defended very well and cancelled each other out. It comes down to taking chances/shots finding the net - on a different night Riise would have scored and Robbens shot would have gone in. I think we can defend against Chelsea but we have struggled when we need to break them down. Game at Anfield saw us picked off when we came out and attacked them (granted Sami's illness was a factor). They will be there or thereabouts in the Champions League. I can even see us meeting them in Paris! That would be interesting.
