Hopefully Palace can nick a point.
-
Well they have Brighton this weekend before they play Bayern, and they don't have great depth, we'll see how they navigate this stage of the season.
-
And ofc this lot will have all their best players available when we play them at Villa Park. It's good Abu Dhabi FC drew with Arsenal, I don't see them droping points until they play Spurs, they have Palace and Luton in their next two
-
I stopped believing in Villa since that 3-2 from two years ago.
-
Hopefully they keep it to a 3 goal loss minimum.
-
Villa are going to get battered

Stefan Bajcetic has trained fully with U21s this week and then he trains with the seniors next week. -
Doesn't mean he's going to feature in that game though, just that they're ready for team training, obviously depends how they react to it.

Motto I live by. The other day I was making a doctors appointment on the phone, and was looking at our fixtures whilst the lady was telling me what was available

I remember coming across that. The Athletic bar Ornstein have been a giant disappointment as you said. Overall there aren't many journalist that seem to be have any inside scoops, at least when it comes to us.

From the Telegraph he chances of Roberto De Zerbi becoming the next Liverpool manager have receded with the Italian not currently considered a leading candidate. The hunt to find Jurgen Klopp’s successor remains fluid, and De Zerbi has certainly not been completely ruled out, but the Brighton & Hove Albion head coach is not the focus of Liverpool’s search at present. [...]Telegraph Sport then revealed that Amorim has a 15 million euro (£12.9 million) release clause in his contract with the Portuguese club this summer – far lower than had previously been reported – with that clause dropping to 10 million (£8.6 million) in 2025 when he will only have a year left on his contract. While the clause is certainly not cheap, it also means it will be easier and cleaner for Liverpool to agree a deal should they decide to make a move for Amorim who has been scrutinised closely since the start of the process. They simply have to trigger the clause which will leave Sporting powerless to keep him which means they do not need to rush into negotiations. [...] Amorim would, therefore, appear to be the favourite for the role but, as one source insisted, “there is no leading candidate” to succeed Klopp and “to claim there is would be wrong”. ... Alonso’s decision to stay with Leverkusen – having considered his options - has therefore increased the chances of Bayern turning to De Zerbi. Another option for them is their former coach Julian Nagelsmann, who has also been under consideration by Liverpool but, it seems, is unlikely to want to succeed Klopp. [...] Liverpool are taking their time to conclude their search having first prioritised bringing back Michael Edwards as the chief executive of football for the club’s owners, the Fenway Sports Group. Edwards then hired Richard Hughes, from Bournemouth, as sporting director. Logically the club wanted to make these appointments before hiring a new manager. Liverpool’s data analysts, led Director of Research Will Spearman, have already compiling dossiers on those most suitable for the post and that process started once Klopp informed FSG last December that he wanted to step down at the end of this campaign.

Serves you right for wearing sandals period, let alone with socks.

The 5-0 was still important in my eyes even though it was in the first 10 games of the season,(matchweek 9) Chelsea and City both started the season well, and we hadnt lost either in that time period. We couldnt afford to fall behind too much early point wise, the three of us were seperated by a point between the 3 of us. It gave us momentum The Everton win that same season was important for that same reason, as all 3 teams kept up the good start and we were ahead of City by a point. You're right it was behind closed doors, but we also had s***loads of injuries and Phillips and Rhys as the starting CB in that match. We had to win, it went down to the last game of the season I believe for us to solidify a place in CL.

I'm looking at the last 4/5 seasons under Jurgen, not a 15 year period. PSL talked about previous run ins, and that time period coincides with our recent run ins, whether they be for the title or needing to stay in the top 4 [20/21 we won there 4-2, we needed to win going into that match] We drew in 18/19, drew in 19/20, won in 20/21, won in 21/22, lost last year [early in the season, wasnt part of a run in for anything at the time] Compared to Goodison in around the same time period, where we've drawn in every game bar 1 [won in 21/22], one of the draws was early in the season.
-
I agree and disagree. We got a better record there than they do at Anfield, even at their best. I do agree that we tend to let the occasion get to us at times but we've scored 4/ 5 there in the last several years playing there, as well. [20/21, 21/22]. We got a worse record at Woodison
