Clark did well from the half hour mark onwards and was helped out a lot once Mac came on and Joe reverted back to RB. I’d say there are some similarities with Jones, both started at the academy as left wingers before being moved into more of a midfield role, both like to get on the the ball, cut inside and make things happen.

I tend not to overstate these things so just ok from what I saw. Brilliant - Danns, Kelleher & Konate given the time he was on. Rest did fine without being brilliant, Gakpo utter turd.

These cup games are really made for Kelleher aren't they? Another tremendous performance from him to keep us in the cup.

Wasn't all that impressed with the young ones last night bar Danns & Bradley but I think a lot of that can be put down to the cup triumph and not being fully mentally prepared. Koumas didn't really do much, his shot was a pretty tame one and was gonna be easily saved without the deflection but happy for him nonetheless. Mcconnell struggled, especially in the opening 15-20mins. Pressing was off and passing was nowhere near like we saw in the final. Clark did well in spells, likes to get on the ball and looks like he models his game around Jones a bit but a lot of work needed to improve his all round game. Bradley had a good game, Sulemana had the beating of him once or twice and so he should given how rapid and direct he is but offensively he's incredible. Confident to take a shot with the outside of his boot, how many fullbacks do you see doing that? Nyoni wasn't on long but looks like a better prospect than either Mcconnell or Clark tbh, the press to win the ball back in their own box when Danns had his effort blocked was beautiful. & Danns the pick of the bunch, 2 very different but fantastically executed goals. I reckon he could become a real handful for a lot of defences real soon.

Think he mentioned Bentley, Dobby and Aucherblitzer were being considered too!
