There were rumours of a training ground row weren't there? Like someone else said, I doubt anyone's sat him down and told him he won't be starting because of a clause in his contract, more likely he's been told he isn't starting because he's crap.

Yeah, there's no way Virg is having one of our controlled, second gear performances. More likely he decides to put himself up front, love it when he does that. Let them have a couple of early goals, it'll only make it better when we win.

So Bakayoko and Bernardo Silva moved the summer before Fabinho in 2017, that was their side who won the league and got to the CL semi final. They finished second the season when Fabinho came to us. Maybe by that point Bakayoko had already been proving he was s***e for a season at Chelsea, so people twigged that Fabinho was the good one.

That's the one! Yeah it was Bakayoko and Fabinho together in that midfield, I remember Bakayoko being the one people were talking about more but someone like Julien Laurens said it was Fabinho who was quietly doing all the hard work to make him look better.

There were a few others in that Monaco side who had drawn more attention, mbappe, Bernardo Silva. Even in midfield, it was the lad who went to Chelsea and disappeared into their vortex of forgotten players who was being talked about. Can't even remember his name now! But yeah, as I recall it was only people who followed French football regularly who were saying that Fabinho was the one who was making it all tick.
