  1. I'm suggesting that Rodgers not having balls and being too softly softly *could* be an equally as plausible criticism to make as whoever was laying into FSG.
  2. I havent put the blame on anyone, bar the players not seeming to put enough effort in for the full game today. I dont know anywhere near enough to comment on who screwed up on friday.
  3. These posts annoy me, because the blame is just apportioned to whoever people are unhappy with at that point in time. Too easy just to point the finger at FSG here without a) knowing all the facts, and b) considering whether this would EVER happen to a mourinho, ferguson, wenger or any other manager with two plums.
  4. Well, its what im seeing at the minute, and hes not offering the goalthreat that Kuyt did early on in his career. He runs around lot, which in fairness should be opening up space for other players, but he still needs improve a lot. Besides, with the retrospectoscope, if we had £10M to spend on a forward, a goalscoring one > borini.
  5. Sahin was fairly anonymous, but it was his first game so you cant criticise him too heavily. Suarez, Gerrard and Fabio "Dirk Kuyt" Borini need to have a good look at themselves. Shocking really. Reina is nothing like his old self either. It was nice to see our "top notch" midfield keep the ball so well as well. Kudos to Shelvey when he appeared though, he actually seemed to try.
  6. Yeah according to the Bild article Madrid are paying 70%.
  7. whys he a c*** for wearing a tux and tophat at the races? So many reasons to hate, but that is definitely not one of them.
  8. One of the funding businessmen has pulled out his funds because a previously promised cash injection by the government didnt happen. I think.
  9. Oh dear.
  10. In our case its probably that we dont have any money.
  11. Well, not quite true. As i said earlier in the thread, how do you think it would be from a psychological perspective having your £35M striker on the bench game after game? All the cameras would been fixated on this and every lost game would lead to the standard "why are they not playing their £35M striker?". He wasnt going to play, clearly doesnt fit the system and he'll hold his value better at West Ham where he'll actually play in a team that will want to utilise his strengths. The problem here isnt that Carroll was sent out, its that he wasnt replaced. So if blame must be apportioned, then give it to Rodgers or FSG in whatever measure you think is appropriate. Oh, and dont forget to send some Dalglish's way for being in charge when this happened. Thats what it all traces back to.
  12. think you all need to stop being manc fans and get behind the team? (thats the right line yeah? i see that bandied about when someone sees some negativity, justified or not?) so we didnt sign dempsey. whoopie. its not a great position to be in but we still have a decent enough first team to do a job. relax.
  13. So we're missing out on Dempsey because of a million quid or so? This happens far far too often.
  14. Quantity not quality if we're moving for the likes of Yossi. Not going to be cheap either if West Ham couldnt afford him.
  15. whos making an issue of it? that wouldnt be a buy back clause btw, that would be a first option clause. its probably nonsense to have page after page microanalysing wages and trying to decide if aquilani's fee counts as money in the bank or not, but i see no hate heading to anyone talking about that?
  16. Yeah hes been a bit lax lately. If we could trade up, ie get a good fee and bring in a top younger goalkeeper, then i would consider it. No harm done if he stays because hes still one of the better premier league goalkeepers.
  17. i promise to up my game on the gifs btw. Ive got some good ones and im just waiting for the right time.
  18. well thats the implication of a buy back clause, so if theres a buy back clause thats what it will be.
  19. If theres an option to buy back, that would mean that Leverkusen would submit a bid at a prearranged value and we'd have to accept as per the contract.
  20. the player would have to agree to it as well, so doubt its anything to worry about.
  21. Psychology. It cant be good having a £35M striker sitting on the bench on a weekly basis, with Sky camera and every other lowlife media outlet looking to make a big deal of that. He wasnt going to get played very often and hes better off out of the way.
  22. 100% this will not happen.
