  1. Well it probably would have helped if the last two hadnt been so inept in the transfer market and metaphorically threw £100M down the toilet.
  2. At this late stage of the window, his signing just shows desperation and lack of preparation. We need a striker who can be counted upon to hold the ball up and play others in whilst also being mobile enough to run around a bit. That may be a tough ask, but if we sign Sturridge ill be watching through my fingers every time he plays because hes going to continually ruin our moves by shooting off target at every opportunity looking for the headlines.
  3. Not a fan of Sturridge. Doesnt fit into the tiki taka keep ball approach.
  4. Yeah I mean the situation is this really: It seems we're short on funds, Rodgers know who he wants to keep, and any others can go to make funds. Some players are worth a bit of money and Henderson is probably one of those players. Add in his ineptitude and its clear why attempting to move him on.
  5. Agree with this. We've just seen a potential maximum free for Carroll being about £17M, and thats with noone wanting to pay it up front. Im not sure whats so unbeliebable at rating Henderson at £7-10M given hes been "Henderrendous" all season. You then have to factor in that players from the side more keen to buy are always undervalued in P/Ex deals.
  6. Well thats the point isnt it?
  7. but theyre all liverpool players, so they are mate.
  8. Your western logic isnt going to change my mind. Sorry.
  9. do you believe hes value for £100k a week?
  10. This is the same for any profession. Ask an accountant, lawyer or doctor to explain the intricisies of their field to a layman and they either struggle or give an overly simplistic, almost patronising, explanation.
  11. As ive mentioned previously, I dont think the good he does offsets the bad. this is heightened when hes likely to be on 100k pm. That sort of money should be reserved for top quality players that can play at least at a 6.5/10 level every week.
  12. I was just making the point that as a footballer, hes pretty limited. Hes got his schtick and thats nearly all hes got.
  13. Yeah indeed. Sometimes I think its overrated though, which means that fast players that arent very good at top level football get further than they should. Its obviously a matter of personal opinion here, but in my eyes hes far too inconsistent to be value, and his pace wouldnt add enough to justify the outlay. I mean, I appreciate where youre coming from, but I dont think walcotts pace will add a lot to an attack that is already above average in pace and very very mobile. I think we should be looking to bring in the stereotypical tricky winger, if ones available.

nah, im already in the online moussadembele.com fanclub so its all good.
  15. Game intelligence is directly proportional to the (amount of times the ball is over run for a goal kick x poor passes). Walcott does both of those things far too often, and probably too often to be offset by the occasion piece of skill he pulls off. Ask yourself this - if he had average pace, would he be considered a top player? I asked myself and I concluded no.

Has it been finalised? Thats a crying shame if its happened. He's going to be incredible.

I think I may well be. The man is adonis. Such a beautiful footballer. I think youre underrating Dembele there as well. Ive watched a lot of Fulham games in the last 12 months to check him out and he very rarely loses the ball. Incredibly strong physically as well, which can be useful. He can also play a variety of positions, either in CM or out wide, which in my mind at least makes him more valuable than Dempsey, who despite being 5 years his senior will cost around £8-10M or so. Dembele seems like one of these players who will really improve dramatically at a top team.

Two things - why was he allowed to start the game if he tweaked it in the warmup? And when are we lodging the Dembele bid as a replacement (of sorts)?
  19. Bingo. This man knows a limited footballer when he sees one.
  20. Indeed they are different, but I dont see why we need a Walcott type on the right anyway given we have Johnson bombing on at any opportunity. Dembele would be perfect to move in from the right hand side and add yet another string to out potentially brilliant ball keeping bow.
  21. Walcott is an awful footballer. We have pace up front now so we're fine. What we need is a crafty player who never loses the ball, ever, and is available for about £15M. Moussa Dembele please
  22. It probably wouldnt. Need to see him in a red shirt for that to happen.
  23. Dembele has had a £15M bid for him put in by spurs. Come on Rodgers, make a move
  24. Prceisely. And for this you have to question the imposters that oversaw this, and other similar signings.
  25. Isco and Eliseu would be two picks.
