Definitely. The way we have been playing and creating chances under Kenny, it would have been like shooting fish in a barrel exercise for a finisher of Torres' ability.

We have recently spent £35 million on a striker who is not best suited (and probably never will be) for the 4-3-3. If I have to choose between giving playing time to Carroll or Adam, the choice is pretty simple. So far, I have only seen him play for LFC on the right. At the same time, I have seen him on several occasions playing in central midfield for England's U-21 team. He looks much more comfortable in the middle, admittedly against weaker opposition. He is simply out of his natural position on the right, so he looks lost sometimes.

Why not? He has the talent and the ability, and his tactical awareness is already at the higher level than Adam's. It's not like he is 18 or 19 years old.

True, and that effectively dismisses him as a starting player on a team that has an ambition to win titles. As I have already said, he would probably do well on a team like Everton or Newcastle. On a team like LFC, aiming for the glory of PL and CL titles, he could be a bit-part squad player, at best. I would much rather see Henderson given the chance in the central midfield, since he definitely has the talent to develop into a great player in the role.

To be honest, I have never expected for Charlie Adam to become a regular starter at LFC. Not because of his poor level of fitness and stamina, since it is something that can be worked on, but because of his poor tactical awareness. I am afraid that the high-intensity midfields of Chelsea and City will once again expose this big anomaly in his game. I hope he proves me wrong, but the early signs are not good at all, since he is not showing any signs of tactical improvement during the 4 months under Kenny.

It is certainly a viable idea, but it would still need serious investment in infrastructure. I don't think that the traffic capacity or the throughput of the roads and streets leading to and from the Anfield area can service anything like 500+ buses in a short time frame. Of course, there is also the problem with parking large vehicles. IMHO, the train line (also visible on the picture) is definitely the better and the more practical solution.

We have Suarez, Carroll, Kuyt and Bellamy as strikers. We have Downing, Maxi, Henderson, Kuyt and Bellamy as wide attacking players. We have enough attacking players to play the 4-4-1-1 or the 4-2-3-1 without any problem.

In footballing terms, they both have the status of "homegrown" players. Passport has nothing to do with it.

To be honest, that is the part that I dislike the most about him. With Adam on the starting line-up, we are forced to play 3 in the middle, and sacrifice 1 attacking player, in order to cover for his shortcomings. I would much rather have someone who can hold his ground in a midfield duo with Lucas, and play with 4 attacking players (2 wingers and 2 strikers). Of course, we have Gerrard for that central midfield role, but he has rarely been available in recent times.

I remember Kaiser from his RAWK days, and if I am correct, he was obsessed with Quaresma. There is no need for calling names and discrediting someone, if you don't agree with his opinion. I think that we would have been a better team with Torres partnering Suarez upfront, since he is a much better developed player than Carroll. That doesn't means I agree with the way he has left the club, but I am not going to play dumb and negate his footballing ability, just because he has acted like a mercenary.

To be honest, I would definitely take him on a 6-months loan.

I don't think that he would ever perform on the 2007/08 level in his career again. Still, he is a very good striker, and we would have been a stronger team with him.

Yeah, that seems pretty much true. His decision to go to Chelsea was obviously made in the summer of 2010, but he had to wait for the takeover to happen.

Personally, I think that both Kenny and Comolli should implement more of the "Moneyball" transfer policy. I have always liked the idea of gambling on obviously talented players, who have stalled in their development due to psychological or off-the-field-issues, or are simply forgotten at the benches of the big clubs. Players like Diego, Podolski, Afellay, Granero, Quagliarella and the likes. I think that you are getting the general idea.

Generally, I trust Kenny with his ideas, but I think that this one is not so good. I doubt that Adam would be able to perform at a higher level against a couple of top teams like Chelsea and Man City, when he was unable to do that against the likes of Norwich and Swansea. I hope I am wrong, but the early signs are pretty bad.

Actually, a combination of Torres and Suarez would have been a nightmare for any opposition defence.

Well, we are not discussing Torres at Chelsea. We are discussing the hypothetical scenario of Torres staying at LFC. Even in his last "poor" 18 months with LFC, he has scored 27 goals in 45 league appearances. I am not even going to bother discussing his first 2 seasons at LFC.
