They won’t want parity. They’ll want a proportionate increase - in some cases possibly contractually built in. An entire club getting financially crunched for one player, regardless of his worth, ain’t worth it. It’s speculation as no one knows what’s on the table but the notion he should just get silly money doesn’t fly.
