I'm probably being naive here, or missing something, but other than the year we only brought in Minamino (although, we also signed Andy Lonergan, so hey - not all bad....), which windows have they ballsed up?
You can make a case that 22/23 didn't address a key position (sit down, Arthur) but we still bought Nunez and Gakpo.
During the Rogers era we bought some dross, sure, but we also brought in Sturridge, Bobby, Suarez - the approach needed tweaking, but at the very least we ended up no worse off at the end of each window.
I'm choosing to ignore Balotelli's signing.
I'm not praising FSG's work in the transfer market, but I'm just not sure it's as bad as the prevailing narrative would have us believe
