Romario

We could be second and went out and lost tonight. Or been second and added anoter 3 points. I just think it's strange that games in hand against lesser teams = 0 points for us. I don't understand it. Anyway it was a great win and helps us to a top 4 finish. Very good point. I think I was getting carried away and when the bubble burst.....

Frustrates me.

Frustration is more what I feel. Fair play to the lads beating Arsenal but why do we have this small time mentality!? Raising our game against the big boys and letting it slip against s*** teams?! Can our players not see the bigger picture? Beating Brum and Charlton and losing against the a*** is what we should be looking at doing at worst. Instead our players save temselves for Arsenal and lose the others. Tonight result annoys me as it shows yet again what could have been. It's so frustrating. Obviously it's a great result and we deserved it (f*** I was sweating at the end) but it's kind of a hollow victory in one way for me. Not sure why the great football and excellent passing has got me down so tonight!

Great result. I thought we'd throw it away as per in the second half having done so well in the first. Hope Garcia is fit now and can play when needed. We NEED his vital goals.

Benfica for me everytime. I really feel we could win it again. Second is deffo the Mancs in the FA cup. As for the league as long as we keep up and get 2nd 3rd or 4th I'm happy. Bar a few qualifiers after 1st it's all the same to me.

Carra usually ends up with his shirt on backwards at least once a game V Henry. Hopefully Finnan can get the measure of him.

Looking forward to it as well. Have a good feeling about tonight. I think this evening we'll finally get the ball rolling again and get things back on track. A fewgood results would be great before the CL games come around again.

That's what I was asking!

I'd love to know who the dodgy one is in all this. Is it the Mancs doing the tapping up or Chelsea? Or is it dodgy agent dealings? Does anyone know much about this? A manc mate of mine reckons it's all Chelseas doing but he would say that wouldn't he!

To be fair imagine John Terry, Henry, Keane, Neville, Scholes etc. hooring themselves to another top of the league club just so they can win trophies regardless? I can't. Gerrard f***ed up badly especially after the CL final. That was f***ing sad beyond belief. He's been playing brilliantly and for me he's a player we can't do without but he really really f***ed up and these stories will always happen because of his hunger to match his mates in trophies. He, as we have to take it on the chin. It's deserved. I can't imagine Keane or Neville wanting to join Chelsea to be sure of trophies can you.

It sickens me to say it but I think their attacking flair football will be thought a horrible lesson against the pragmatic Chelsea. I'd love to see Barca hammer them and it would be great for football if they could but I think Chelsea will steamroller an amazing Barca team intent on the beautiful game rather than the results leaving them look a very childish club. Love to be wrong

This summer will be our most important for years. I think if we fail AGAIN to pick up the right players the momentum could well be lost and I think the rot will slowly creep in. Hyypia will need replacing and players like Gerrard and Alonso will see us going backwards as we certainly won't be going forwards if on the last day of the transfer window yet again we're bidding left right and centre with Parry (*fingers crossed behind his back) is counting down the clock. We'll need a CB perhaps another LB a RM and two quality forwards. That's 5 quality players, not ones for the future or players with potential. We already have that. For me Crouch and Morienties are great backup/cover if we had two strikers in the Owen/Defoe/AJ mode.

We sound worse than spurs with all these later than late offers and deals breaking down. Liverpool nearly signed Defoe but it was too late. Liverpool nearly signed Simao but it was too late. Liverpool nearly signed SWP but it was too late. Poor bloody Raffa. I reckon Cisse, Morienties,Mellor, LeTellec, Cheryou, Traore, Dudek and perhaps Pongo if he can't get games to prove himself at Blackburn. A potential 8 players. We'll need to replace 6 of them with quality starting with up front.

Saturday - Wigan Tuesday - Arsenal Saturday - United Tuesday - Benfica Ouch!! Not sure what to think looking at those 4 games. We need wins obviously as these ARE the most important games of the season now. Forget the Chelsea game. Good results against Arsenal and United after a win tomorrow would set us up nicely for Benfica. On the other hand the wheels could rightly come off..... Can't call it at all.
